TO DIE FOR

chapter 15

Manuel burst open into Sarah's house  furiously.

     "Well, this is a nice surprise." Sarah said, smiling.

    "we need to talk!" Manuel said, closing the door and turning to face Sarah he said. "Anikka's toxicology report came out. Proves she was poisoned with a flower."

     "it's kind of a beautiful irony, isn't it? Am really sorry Manuel, it's really a sad development, now she's out of our way for good."

"What the hell are you talking about? Don't act dumb with me. I know you are the one who killed her. Getting involved with you was the worst mistake that I regret  with every fiber of my being. I would give anything to turn things over. Anikka was the love of my life." he said with real argon.

     "I know. " she said so amusingly that it took Manuel by surprise.

    " Wait..what - you...so you killed her out of jealousy? What did you think you could get her out of the way, step in, fill her shoes? Let me tell you something, that could never happen! Anikka is a million times the woman you could ever be."
  
    "Well, not anymore she's not."
   
    "Shut up! Why are you doing this, punishing me for rejecting you? I'm not gonna let you get away with this."
   
    "You are such a typical man. I never cared about you, nor have I ever loved you. No, it's just that Anikka was standing in my way to acquire wealthy and riches through you, you see Manuel, I knew that just being your friend or best friend would get me nowhere, I had to be more than that. I had to be the closest and dearest person in your life, and it took me four years to accomplish that. When I found out that all your family and  close relatives are nowhere to be and could possibly be dead, that you've got no one to share or inherent all this wealthy you are creating. Befriending you was the easy part. I knew I had to establish a close bond first. I knew that if I became that person close to your heart, I would stand a great chance of putting every single piece of your money under my name.

I had everything under my control, and then, the next thing you know, boom, Anikka comes into the picture from  nowhere. You shifted all the attention on her. She came as a surprise. She could have ruined everything for me, but then I thought about it, you know?"   By now, Sarah was moving about in the room as she explained.  

"I thought if you were to break up with her, you would still remain with nobody except me, and things would again start moving as I please. I thought of everything, I tried almost about anything to break you up, I forced her to go with me at the party instead of waiting for you at the park and spiced her drink at the party and made her to dance with several men and yes I took those photos and since they were not good enough and satisfying as I wanted them to be, I went ahead and edited them so as to appear more believable. I tried everything to get her out of the way, but she was just so fixed with you, and you tried hard enough not to get over her. Every time I tried to ruin you and her, she would always find ways to fix it. She left me with no choice."

she walked over to the drawers and removed something, Manuel could barely see what it was since he was standing behind her. She continued speaking, still giving Manuel her back.

  "I just had to get rid of her permanently, and the same applies with you!" she finally turned around, pointing a gun at Manuel.

    Manuel's eyes widened with surprise and disbelief...
