February 14.
Another totally normal day in highschool, well not mentioning the fact that it was valentine's day. Other students seemingly going back and forth, room by room holding small roses, chocolate, love letters and other heart struck gifts ready to be handed to 'their' special someone.
If anyone can guess they're mostly just young teenage couples that are supposedly head over heels in love and probably will later end in a heartbreak just for some absurd reasons. Some other students very likely just brought gifts and flowers to give to the teachers.
On the other hand, as much as Augustine cares, he really doesn't have any excuse to use any of his money for some flowers and sweet to just be what? Left unnoticed and throw it in the trash, Augustine would rather keep the money in that case. Either way he doesn't even have someone in mind to do something so pointless and his not that popular to be recognize unlike his bestfriend Winnie.
A blue-eyed, blonde, handsome tall guy who's also known as a academic achiever and one of the best player in hockey. What's more that guy is the most popular person in all school campus, heck no! From what Augustine can tell Winnie is very well known even outside school, he is very recognize by their relatives, neighbors, and other close friends.
Sometimes Augustine can't help himself to feel...jealous, jealous at the other man's looks, talents, achievements, life, and the list goes on.
Augustine rolls his eye annoyed at the thought of Winnie. As he walks through the crowded hall, he made his way to his locker and what do you know?
Winnie is also here...
Winnie was surrounded by a bunch of girls holding different gifts, most of them were holding flowers, chocolate and mostly heart stomp envelopes. It's easy to guess that they're confession letters meant for the blonde.
Augustine felt his stomach ache in a sense he can't explain but if he can describe it to one word, it will be jealousy. Or maybe jealous at the girls.
He squeeze his body between girl after girl, accidently stepping on one of the girls delicate shoes although he did apologize but he can't tell if the girl even heard him because of the crowds noise.
Eventually he made his way over to where his locker is, he tries to not draw much attention so he duck his head low enough to the same height as the girls around him and slowly opens his locker. Just to point out Auguztine can only able to open his locker wide enough to squeeze his stuff inside. So with a swift movement Augustine shove his belongings in there and quickly closes the locker.
Augustine was about to leave but it felt like the crowd was suddenly pushing him back to where he is, then out of nowhere he was immediately pulled to a nearby room, away from the loud and messy crowd.
"Are you okay?"
A voice called out to him and right away Augustine didn't have to look to know who it was because it was none other than Winnie himself. Who seems to look like Augustine, breathless.
"Y-yeah..."
Winnie let out an awkward laugh, filling the tension between them. Both of them sat on the floor.
"Let me guess? You're being chase."
Winnie looks at him with a confuse expression on his face seemingly oblivious at what's happening outside the room.
"Huh being chased? Wha-"
"OH I DON'T WINNIE, ITS NOT LIKE AN ATTRACTIVE PERSON TOTALLY WASN'T BEING SURROUNDED BY TONS OF GIRLS."
"HEY I DON'T KNOW THEM!"
Winnie shouted covering his flustered face then turned back to face him with wide eyes.
