   /Hornet POV:

I sat in the corner of a fairly large study room in the White Palace that was turned into a makeshift classroom by the Godseeker. I spun a spool of silk on the desk with my right hand bored out of my mind not paying attention. It had been a few weeks since the incident with the Godseeker at Dirtmouth and ever since that day the Shade Lord... or uhhh Ghost?... I-I don't know I haven't decided what to properly call them by yet. They have been keeping the Godseeker almost always in their line of sight.

The only exception was the rooms that the two had been staying in, the Shade Lord made sure that her room was right next to theirs. I couldn't blame them for taking such extreme precautions, but I still don't understand what even caused whatever t-th-that horrific thing to happen to the Godseeker. She was perfectly fine throughout all of their interactions. The only difference ever being that the Shade Lord was absent when it happened, but how could that cause that to happen to—.

My train of thought was cut as an empty ink jar proceeded to fly across the room hitting me square in the forehead, causing me to let out a grunt as I stopped spinning the spool, clasping at my forehead with my right hand. The said ink jar came directly from an irritated Godseeker "HORNET! Are you even listening to me?" The Godseeker said her eyes narrowing, grabbing another jar seemingly ready to throw another one at me, if she didn't get an answer she liked.

"Ahhh... uhhhh y-yeah I am," I say grunting in pain, removing my hand from my forehead and quickly regretting doing so as the other ink bottle that the Godseeker had ready was hurled across the room, and with incredible accuracy hitting me in the same spot on my forehead as before. That woman had a serious arm on her. "DON'T LIE TO ME I KNOW YOU WEREN'T LISTENING TO ME." The Godseeker said in an irritated voice, continuing to speak. "You need to relearn the complexity of politics and what it means to be of high birth Hornet. Since you are a royal." She said as she started to walk towards me, passing the Shade Lord who was sitting in the front row. Whose eyes followed her as she moved.

"But I already learned all of this when I was a spiderling. I don't need to relearn any of this." I say standing up in my seat and looking up at the towering Godseeker that was now standing in front of me. "And when was the last time you used your schooling lessons retaining to politics or leadership?" The Godseeker said placing both of her hands on my desk and leaning against it towards me her eyes narrowing, waiting for my response. "A matter of fact I...I...I-" I say confidently then slowly losing said confidence as I realize that I cannot remember the last I ever used my countless lessons ever since the Radiance returned.

"Exactly. you haven't used your teachings in any meaningful way for who knows how long." The Godseeker says straightening back up with a smug look of triumph on her face. Then turning back around walked back up to the front of the room, and wiped the chalkboard that she was using for her lessons. Having written on the board in big letters "The Basics of Politics." As the Godseeker finished cleaning the board she paused for a moment letting out a sigh, her shoulders sinking for a split second before quickly straightening back up and turning to face me and the Shade Lord.

"Alright, you two. I guess we can call this
The lesson of ours concluded." The Godseeker said clasping her hands together.

   /The Shade Lords POV:

I stand up from my seat and walk to Seeker, and walk past Hornet as she runs past me, and out of the room.

"Hey Seeker. Uhh Great lesson you had for us today. I know Hornet can be a... uhhh problem sometimes, but I have seen glimpses of a much softer side of her in the past. You just have to give her time."
