The EKG beeped slower and slower by the second.
Doctors were frantically running around, tending to me. Murmurs were faintly heard as I started to drift out. "Her baby...choking...surgery...computer chip." I could only get small fragments of what the doctors were saying.
Eventually they took Ember away, rushing her to another room. "My baby!" I screamed out, sitting up, reaching out to Ember who was being taken away from me. "I want to see her!" I kept repeating, starting to break down into tears.
Corbin sat beside me, trying to calm me, but he couldn't.
Doctor POV

"We're going to have to be very careful placing this chip in her brain, but we must hurry." I rushed over to the operating table as we carefully took the chip, placing it in her brain. This would be able to program her mind in which it would keep her heart beating.
The only problem was, we never considered the side-effects in the future.
