NON-EDITED! ENJOY!

I groaned as I could feel contractions starting. "God, why does this have to be so painful?" I asked Gail.
"Emerson, we're going to try and get you to a Hospital, okay dearie?" I nodded, just wanting to get this done and over with.
I heaved a sigh, getting up from the cough. We all walked about a mile before getting to the hospital. Two men came rushing in, carrying me into a room. It was a nice warm yellow-ish color inside, which made me feel a bit better.
Then, the pains started..
"Oh, just golly great!" I whined. Gail went to go sit down in a mottled chair in the corner while Corbin was standing close to me.
I coughed, intended for him. "Corbin, if you want to help me through this," I started. "Hmm?" He snapped his attention to me, looking at me. I glared at him, serious. "If you want to help me..." I continued. "Make sure to keep your eyes north of the equator. Got it?" I raised my eyebrows. "Okay, okay!" He raised his hands up in defeat. I then pocketed his hands while I lay in the bed, letting the pains grow.

It must have been at least three hours before a damn doctor could get to me, and by then, in pain level wise, I was at about a 8.
"Alrightyyy...Miss..." The doctor looked at her chart. "Embererson...?" I heaved a sigh. "No, It's Emerson..." I muttered with exasperation, starting to get ticked.
"Emerson," Gail called over, walking next to me. "Yeah?" My face started turning into a frown.
"Would you like to play a game?" She asked politely.
A game. A game?! The LAST thing I wanted to do right now was play a goddamn game.
"Umm, Gail?" I said politely. "I'm good, I'll pass." I chuckled slightly, trying to hide the pain expression from my face.
Corbin looked over at me, laughing. I gave him a glare. "What's so funny, boy?" I teased. "Oh, nothing. Just the look on your face." He held his hand over his mouth, turning to laugh. Oh, damn, he's gonna get it when I'm out of this bed.
Contractions started kicking in again. I groaned loudly, holding my stomach. "Damn, I could only imagine how much this really hurt when mom did it." I muttered under my breath. I shook my head, trying to focus on something other then strangling a bitch.
A nurse walked in with an I.V. bag, hooking it up to my hand. "Ow." I muttered. It took her a while to find my actual vein so I was stuck letting her poke around my arm for about 15 minutes.
"Ma'am, would you like am epidural?" I frowned. What the fuck kind of language do they speak here?! I held my head, groaning.
She frowned at me. "I'll take that as a yes." She muttered. I took my hands off my face, shooting a look to Gail. she just shrugged at me, whispering over "It's a shot, dear." Well damn! If there was anything to do with needles here, I would've been out of this bed faster than you could say Supercalafragalisticexpialladocus.
I chose to sit up to try and reduce pain, then noticing that was a bad idea, so I lay back down. "Ungh..." Corbin brought up a chair, sitting down.
He started softly stroking my hair, and for once, nothing felt weird about it. I finally felt at peace for once, able to relax and close my eyes.
"You can do it, Emerson." He muttered, continuing to stroke his firm hands through my long hair. "Only about..." He looked at a pretend watch on his wrist. "Eight more hours."
I gave him my: Are you fucking kidding me? Face. "Ohh, I don't think so." I said with a bit of confidence in my voice. "This thing is coming out..." I looked at my own pretend watch. "In less than 2 hours. You got all that mister?" I raised an eyebrow at him. "Mhm, sure. You can dream all you want Emmie."
He seemed to be calling me 'Emmie' a lot more then my actual name. Now, I wasn't sure what that was supposed to mean, but I was growing to like him calling me that.

The doctor came in about 30 minutes later, yet again, after leaving me telling me it was time to pop this damn thing out. I wasn't arguing because I was in so much pain, I didn't want to move an inch. "Alrighty, I'll give you the epidural and then we can start pushing about 40 or so minutes later. Sound good, Embererson?" I glared at her. "It's Emerson..." I whined.
"Hey, you should be happy we still were able to save some of the medications that we're putting into you right now." She frowned at me.
I heaved a sigh. "I think I would've been in better hands if I hadn't gone here." I muttered, sitting up. The doctor whirled around, gracefully sticking a sharp needle into my back. I dug my nails into my legs as she shot another one straight into my spine.
"Oops." She said nonchalantly. I groaned as she yanked the needles out. "Wait five minutes before the drugs kick in." She muttered.
I ended up spending the rest of my time playing I-SPY with Corbin and Gail.
"Umm...I spy...something sharp and shiny." I started. "Is it the knives and scissors?" Gail suggested. "Ew no!" I said to her, laughing. "Is it...your attitude?" Corbin suggested. I gave him another glare. "No..." I frowned slightly. "It's the needle." I muttered. "Oh." Gail and Corbin said in sync.
"Well, I feel a lot better after that medication, though." Spoke too soon. The nurse and Doctor came bursting in. "Okay, now lets get this damn baby out, now shall we?" I asked to the Doctor. "Mhm." She mumbled.

After about 30 minutes of pushing, I was about ready to give up. "Emmie," Corbin warned, noticing my effort was decreasing. "Keep going." He muttered. I moved my eyes over to him. "I'll get you later, bitch." I muttered. He chuckled at my comment. Corbin and Gail watched as I finally finished, heaving and taking deep breaths. I exhaled sharply. "It's over!" Gail said to me with excitement.
"Yaay." I said nonchalantly. I let go of Corbins' hand, wiping droplets of sweat off my face. "Damn, that wasn't so bad." I laughed slightly as they handed me a screaming baby girl.
"Aww..." I held her up to me, smiling at Gail.
"Hi Ember." I whispered, kissing her head. She stopped crying for a moment, looking at me with those light brown eyes. They almost seemed a dark yellow.
She almost had a full head of hair, which was a jet black. "Let's clean her up now..." The doctor muttered, picking her up. They cleaned her, took hand-prints and footprints, gave her eye-drops and such until she was finally given back to me.
There was just some feeling of being able to hold your own child, that should make every mother happy.
It felt comforting to do.
I nursed her as I was brought into a recovery room. Corbin and Gale followed me, tending to my every need.
"Gail, Corbin," I started. "Thank you both so much for helping me. "I could've never done it without you."
They both seemed elated at this moment and time. "Oh, dearie, it was nothing." Gail took my hands, smiling at me. She was getting worn down and old. I wasn't sure how much longer she could hold up for, but I certainly wasn't giving up on her.
"I'll..be right back. I need to use the ladies room." Gail said, turning. She turned her head, eyeing Corbin as if he were to do something.
Corbin took my hands as well, looking at me. His dark green eyes seemed almost mesmerizing. "Emmie, there's been something I've wanted to do for a long time."
He embraced my face, kissing me.
