During the final battle with Muzan, the lower rank demon slayers sacrifices themselves for the people who were fighting. . expect one of the lower ranks was Kaida's best friend, Zenji.
"Zenji?" Kaida called his name while looking at him. He was lying on the ground bleeding.
"GOOOO!! CHARGE!! GET IN FRONT OF THEM!! USE YOUR BODY AS A WALL TO PROTECT THE PILLARS! AT THE VERY LEAST, WE'LL PROTECT THE SWORDSMEN WHO CAN STILL STAND AGAINST MUZAN!!"
When the demon slayer said that, it sounded faint or muffled. It felt she couldn't hear anything else at the moment, but her own heart beat. And only that.
She picks up the boy and carries him away from the battle that was raging on. And brings him by one of the Kakushis to see if they could do anything for him.
The Kakushi checks his pulse. . It's weak. "There's nothing I can do unfortunately. He's in a horrible state right now." The Kakushi said.
Kaida's heart dropped when she heard the Kakushi can't do anything for her best friend. She didn't want to lose anyone else in her life again after the incidents.
"Kaida san. . ." Zenji mumbled to her. "What?" She replied hopping that he was still alive. "Do me a favor for me before I pass away. . .Tell Takami that I. . love her. . ." He told Kaida and he then passed away.
Tears were slowing forming in her eyes and the tears falls from her face unto Zenji's.
"Don't worry Zenji, I'll tell her for you. I promise. . ." She said while wiping her tears away.
Kaida was in a trance of her memories with Zenji, her first best friend.
-Kaida P.O.V-
I met a boy named 'Zenji' at my old school. Zenji' means 'goodness'.
This 'Zenji' was my first friend, my best friend.
Me and 'Zenji' hanged out everyday. But we got separated, but met again.
And now, this 'Zenji' is gone. Forever.
-No one's P.O.V-
"Kaida san?" The Kakushi called out her name worried for her.
"Yes?" She asked as she jumped.
"Sorry. . I'm sorry I couldn't do anything for him" The Kakushi remarked.
"It's okay. I'm used to it by now" She said with a smile on her face.
And so, after getting back to reality, she leaves the body of her dead friend to the Kakushi's to join the battle against Muzan.
-After some time fighting. . .-
When Iguro's sword turned red, it motivated Gyomei, Sanemi, Giyuu and maybe Kaida to turn turn their own red too.
Gyomei clashed his iron ball and axe together and it turned red. Giyuu & Sanemi clashed their swords together and it turned red. And what did Kaida do? Well. . .
Kaida quickly grabs a stone, and bashed it hard against her katana. And surprisingly, it manage to turn red. And while she was doing that Sanemi was shouting at her not to mess around.
"CAAWWW!! ONE HOUR AND THREE MINUTES UNTIL DAWN!!" A crow shouted.
All the sudden the four hashiras disappears, only to been seen bleeding, by a Kakushi. Gyomei, is in a building and he lost a foot. Giyuu, is bleeding and he lost an arm, Sanemi was slingshot into a building along with Kaida & Iguro.
"My fucking head hurts. . ." She groaned and touches her head only to feel blood?. "Is this. . the end? At least I'll get to see her again. . ." She said to herself passing out.
The Kaukshis rushes to the injured hashiras.
"GAHHH! Kaida's losing a lot of blood!" One the kakushi spoked.
"Someone get a bandage for Gyomei!" Another one asked.
"On it!"
While this was happening, the war ended with Muzan dying. And Tanjiro got saved from turning into the next Demon King. Many lives were lost, but the war finally ended and the dead souls are resting.
"Where's nee san brother?" Nezuko asked hugging her older brother, Tanjiro. "I don't know, oh! There's she is!" He said pointing to Kaida on a Kakushi's back.
Kaida's resting on the Kakushi's back bleeding a lot.
"What. . happened to her?" Nezuko asked
"Nee san. . ." Tanjiro mumbled to himself.
"SOMEBODY!!! CARRY KAIDA TO THE BUTTERFLY MANSION ASAP!!" The Kakushi shouted.
"I'll carry her there for you!" Another one said.
The Kakushi places Kaida on the back of another Kakushi. The Kakushi rushes to the butterfly mansion crying, not wanting to lose another hashira.
"What happened to Kaida san?" Tanjiro asked the Kakushi that used to have Kaida on his back.
"Errm. . How do I say this. . Your sister. . might be in a coma from the impact with her head"
"What?" Giyuu asked.
