Quin wakes up from his nap and heads downstairs for a drink. Husker is gone to his surprise.

"Where's Husk?" Quin questions. He doesn't see Angel either. It's just Charlie, Vaggie, and Nifty. Charlie is writing out something on the table in front of her.

"He went out after Angel," Vaggie casually says.

"...why?" Quin is very confused.

"Husk pissed him off, so he went after him," Vaggie explains.

"What ha-" Quin is interrupted by an incoming call. "Hold on." It's from Velvette. He steps away to take it.

"Hello?" Quin answers.

"I need you at the studio, now."

"But-" Quin tries to argue.

"I said now." She hangs up the phone.

Well, shit. I don't have much of an option. I have to leave. "Hey, sorry, Velvette needs me for something." Quin's dreading going over there. Whatever she needs, it can't be anything good.

"Oh?" Vaggie asks. "What for?"

"Didn't say," He grabs his coat and starts heading out the door.

...

As he walks in the studio, he sees Velvette waiting for him.

"What did you need me for?" He asks, afraid of her response.

She points to a door that's partly open. "Vox is waiting." Oh shit, what could he possibly need from me now?

Quin walks into the room. It's completely dark. The door closes behind him. The lights come on and Vox is sitting at a table, a mug in hand.

"You're staying at that trashy hotel, right?" Vox takes a sip of his drink.

"Yeah," Quin replies, worrying that Vox will ask something horrible of him.

"Good, good. I need something from you," he sets his mug down and leans forward, resting his head on his hands. "I need you to ensure a deal is never struck between Alastor and Lucifer's little brat."

"But I don't-"

"You will do as I say. Or do I need to call in Velvette?" He grins with venom at Quin.

Quin is silent for a moment. "No."

"Good boy," Vox laughs. "If you fail to do so, I will tear your body limb from limb, rip off your cock, and shove it down your pathetic, little, throat." Quin knows Vox isn't exaggerating. "That's all." Vox dismisses him with a wave of his hand.

Quin walks out and starts to head back to the hotel. What the fuck am I supposed to do? I made that deal with Alastor- wait, did I even need to make that fucking deal? They know I get high... That motherfucker! He played me! What a fucking joke I am! Quin lets out a sigh of anger. Goddamnit. Goddamnit all. Quin's now between a rock and a hard place, and he doesn't know how to get out.

...

Whenever Quin comes home, he sees Angel and Husker sitting at the bar. They're both talking and laughing. He's not used to seeing them get along so well. He doesn't have the energy to join them.

"Hey! Quin!" Angel calls out.

"I'm sorry guys, I'm really tired," he tries to laugh to make it seem less serious. "Maybe tomorrow?"

"Nahhh man come join us!" Angel taps the seat next to him, motioning for Quin to sit there. Quin refrains from rolling his eyes. He stands there for a moment. I could you a little bit of relaxation...

He decides that he doesn't have the energy for people right now. "Not tonight."

Angel rolls his eyes in a joking manner. "Okay," he draws out the word.

Quin heads back upstairs. Who am I more afraid of? Vox? Or Alastor? He lays down, staring at the ceiling. I'm fucking terrified of both of them. Like always, he tries getting high. He's not really feeling it right now, but it's better than sitting here feeling like fucking garbage.

...

Quin comes downstairs, feeling groggy as shit. As he's walking down the stairs, he hears Charlie muttering something to herself. She's standing in front of of fireplace with papers and string posted everywhere. It looks like she didn't sleep much last night, if at all.

Eventually, everyone else also gathers around Charlie.

"Yikes," Angel says, a concerned look on his face.

"Charlie, sweetie? You uh, you good?" Vaggie also seems concerned. Hell, Quin is too.

"Nope! No! Not really!" She laughs a worrisome laugh. "I've been up all night trying to figure out why the hotel isn't working. We've done trust falls, we've tried sharing our feelings, we only have a couple months before the Angels come-" She bursts out into manic laughter. "And at this rate-"

"Maybe it's time-"

"No." Charlie looks at Vaggie with a look Quin's never seen on her face before.

"To ask-"

"Don't say it." Charlie grabs Vaggie by the face.

"Your dad," Vaggie finishes her sentence. Charlie lets out a massive sigh. "Charlie, I know you don't want to, but we need every advantage we can get."

"He let the extermination happen to begin with. They just had a meeting and said 'go ahead and kill everyone'." Charlie lets out a gasp. "Wait, that's it."

"Kill everyone?" Quin and Vaggie ask at the same time.

"No. He could get me a meeting with heaven!" Charlie is enthused by her idea.

"Didn't we already try that?" Vaggie asks, a little confused.

"Well, yeah, with Adam. He was an asshole. But he isn't in charge of all of heaven. We could go to the top! There's sure to be some angels who will listen," Charlie pulls out her phone. She hesitates to call her dad.

"What's the hold up? You got daddy issues?" Quin laughs at Huskers comment.

"After he and mom split, he never really wanted to see me. He calls, sometimes. But only if he's bored or like needs me to do something."

"Daddy issues," Husker looks at Quin and they both snicker.

"Well I'd like to meet the big dick in charge." Angel says with a smile.

"The ultimate bad boy," Nifty sounds overly excited as she laughs. Quin gently takes the knife she's holding away from her. "I bet he's scary."

"What if he's actually just some big softie?" Quin says, making them all laugh except Nifty. She looks unamused.

Charlie takes a deep breath. She finally gives the ol' dick in charge a call.
