This is an AU where B'Elanna is still in the Alpha Quadrant and is married to Tom Paris who never went to Caldik Prime, the birth of his daughter saved him from Cladik Prime, those three pilots did die however but that was at the hand of Nick Loracano, Tom Paris's paternal cousin who looks just like him.
There really isn't much more to tell as this is Tom telling the story about how he met his wife.
