How I Met Her | A Star Trek: Voyager fanfiction

Chapter 3-2371

No-one in the group realised Tom had stopped talking when Janeway then asked "that's it, how did you get married, how did you get together?" Tom raises an eyebrow it looks like the Captain and the others were going to be very interested in hearing the whole story, even Tuvok looked mildly interested in how things were going to turn out.

Tom chuckles, "I'm going to bed, I've got the early shift tomorrow, one part of the story every night, to keep you all in suspense" said Tom standing up and walking to his quarters "he's got a point, we should all go to bed" said Harry, eventually everyone dispersed.

Tom sighed as he placed the holoimage down except he turned it around and on the other side was a holoimage of his baby daughter Tamsyn, it was taken the day she'd turned six months, she was three years old when her father was stationed on Voyager and now it was likely that he would never see her again, Tom knew B'Elanna would never move on even when they were declared dead, she even told him on their wedding day that if he died and they were still young she would never remarry.

They'd argued about it too when Tom also admitted that if she died when they were young he'd never remarry, they named their daughter after Tom's grandmother Tamsyn Gradey, Emerald's mother.

Normally when they go to bed, B'Elanna pinches Tom's shirt that he'd just taken off and wear's it to bed, sometimes he still expects it even if she's not there, he sighs he chucks the shirt in his dirty laundry pile to wash tomorrow.

He fell asleep wishing he was beside his wife with their daughter in the room next door and another baby in a crib in their room, sadly that wasn't the case, not for him anyway, he had no idea that in their shared house there was in fact a crib in B'Elanna and Tom's room with a baby boy that Tom had no idea existed, cause Tom had left for Voyager a week before B'Elanna found out she was pregnant again.

Tom's alarm went off at 0600 "Computer shut off alarm" he groaned, he walked into his bathroom to take a shower. "Computer activate sonic shower" he said, the Computer beeped in response.

He put his uniform on and grabbed the mysterious box, he got Harry to give him the day earlier, inside Tom's wedding ring, he always placed it in there before a duty shift to keep it safe while he was piloting. As he walked onto the Bridge he felt Tuvok, Janeway's, Harry's and Chakotay's eyes on him wanting to know the rest of the story on how he and his wife got together.

This was going to be a long journey for him, them always wanting to him to continue the story, he did find it a relief to finally want to actually tell them.

That same night, the group, Tuvok included cornered Tom in his quarters and got him to continue the story.
