The third day of their capture, the queen finally made her appearance in the cottage. She scanned the dark room as the new comers slowly started sitting up, rubbing sleep from their eyes. "We should open some windows and let some light in here. It is lovely outside." The queen opened three windows and by the time she made it to the fourth, Sean was already opening it.
"I was openin' em yesterday but the guard said no." He dusted off the latch to the last window, sending a cloud of it into the air and causing a few people to cough and hack.
Genevieve had a better take on what the new comers looked like, and they of her. She was very shapely. Her fur was dark ebony and she had long hair that she kept pulled back in a tight ponytail. Her breasts were overwhelming for the gown she wore, and it was form fitting right up until it hit her hips. Then it was if the fabric were hanging on for dear life. When she moved the skirts clung to and flowed with her legs and finally the garment pooled at her feet making it so she had to tug it up off the floor every so often. She did just that as she looked over a human that had a very nasty bruise covering half of his face, "Does it hurt? Should I send for the doctor?"
The man was almost to his feet, "No! Please don't call him." A warning rumble permeated from the guard at the door causing the man to adjust his tone.
Genevieve hushed the guard instantly by holding up one claw, "Why not? You look to be in poor condition."
"Mark said he will tell the king about us."
A smile peeled across her lips, "My husband is not fond of humans. It is true, he has killed a few new comers, just to prove he can, if for nothing else. Abbott is fond of humans though, as am I. The doctor will not lie to my husband, but he will not volunteer information either. Still, if you like I will arrange for his wife to check up on you. Mavis will not question her, mostly because she will pay him no mind anyway." The queen chuckled.
As she stood, a tiny girl dashed to her and wrapped her arms around Genevieve's waist, "Thank you, Miss." She was in tears and the tears quickly erupted into a sob. "I was so scared, I thought we were going to die on the boat. I'm never going on a boat again. Thank you for saving us." Genevieve was instantly in love, "Oh, you sweet little cub, who are your parents?"
The guard spoke up, "Ma'am, she is without parents. The male cub claims she is matured."
"It's true, yo. We both grown, we just small."
Sean went to reach for Kate only to find a spear in his way. "Silence, human. Do not approach her unless ordered." Ralph was ready to kill that cub, with his sudden movements and confusing tongue. Genie silenced the guard again, this time issuing an order. "I want two chambermaids sent here to clean this place up. Then I want them to have a full meal and send Luta is to see to his wounds." She gestured to the bruised man then ran her claws through Kate's hair, "This cub is to take lunch with me at the tavern. She is just darling, I wish to know more about her."
With that the queen left. Ralph sucked his fang tooth before telling the puny female, "Looks as though the queen has taken a liking to you at least. We shall see how your friends fair with the rest of the islanders. I want the lot of you ready to for work tomorrow, with the exception of you." He pointed at the human with the bruised face. With that, he left.
About an hour later two new guards appeared along with a couple of chambermaids. One of them had a basket of food, the other had cleaning supplies. There was a washtub that was brought in as well. Ralph appeared behind the lot of them, directing where he wanted everything laid out. "The queen has ordered that the female bath at Doctor Abbott's clinic. The rest of you may bath here and take a meal after." He finished by grabbing Kate by the arm and shoving her towards the door. "I expect the lot of you cleaned and fed before Mark returns this evening."
