Aiden stirred throughout the night feeling the occasional stings from his injuries. He couldn't get it to stop so he left the bed and attempted to stand. A sharp pain sprung through his body as he stood. He fell backwards and sat against the wall. His head started to bleed again and his back hurt.

Amelia opened the door and quietly said, "How are you holding up?"

"Barely," said Aiden.

Amelia looked at him with a sparkle in her eye and said, "I still see the young version of you."

"Technically, I'm older than you because in your heart you're still twelve."

Amelia laughed a little and said, "That is true, so I might have to count on you as an older brother."

"Really? I get to finally pay you back?" said Aiden excitedly.

"What for?" Amelia asked.

"You were always there for me so I want to do the same for you."

Amelia hugged Aiden tightly and said, "I'm really grateful you are still the same Aiden I knew as a twelve year old."

The two of them sat in silence for some time. Aiden had fallen asleep and Amelia went back to her room. She couldn't fall asleep in the pure silence. She gazed out the window and some time later saw a group of people. She pierced her eyes through the darkness and saw only two guys. She perked up at the sound of a quiet knock on the door.

She waited and heard the door open. With the tiniest squeak from the door came giant footsteps attempting to be silent. Amelia went towards her door and peaked out into darkness. There were figures moving. They paced through the sitting room and the kitchen searching.

They suddenly stopped and turned their heads towards Amelia. She quickly went back into her room. The guys came down the hallway and peaked into the room Amelia was in. They saw movement for only a second before it stopped completely.

"Horus, go back! Find it!" One of the guys whispered loudly in German.

"Will you be quiet, Tarden!" whispered Horus.

"You're just as loud as me!"

"K, just get out," Horus began to walk out of the house.

"I bet that kid saw us, Horus," Tarden followed.

"We'll deal with it later."

"They will go to the police station in the morning," Tarden didn't want to wait to deal with it.

"The entire premises is being watched by officers. It'll get them in more trouble if they even mention a word again."

"To think they were every going to believe that girl." Tarden chuckled to himself.

Amelia listened to this conversation and figured out who they were. The two guys from earlier were in her house. Amelia wondered why the officer didn't wake up. She walked out to the sitting room and couldn't find the officer. Going back to her room the door opened and in came the officer. Amelia practically ran to her room and went to sleep.

The next morning, Amelia woke up and heard Aiden shuffling again. She got up and went to his room.

"Aiden? Can I tell you something?"

Aiden winced and sighed, "Yeah."

"Last night two people came into the house." Amelia waited for some sort of reaction. All she got was a tired look on Aiden's face, "They were searching for something. They were the two people from earlier."

"Did you catch their names?" Aiden asked.

"Yes, Horus and Tarden."

"What kind of name is Tarden?"

"I don't know, but that's his name."

Aiden hesitated, "Anything else?"

Amelia said nothing, "What did they say?" Aiden said louder.

"They said they're coming back..."

"To do what?"

"Deal with me. I saw them sneaking around but they saw me moving under the covers," said Amelia in panic.

"They came to your room?"

"Yeah, should we tell the officer?"

"No, it'll just make more trouble for Cassandra and Fredrick. We can tell them but not the officer."

Amelia walked into the couples room while Aiden struggled to walk and began to confess.

"Why were you awake?" asked Cassandra.

"I couldn't sleep," said Amelia.

"It's a good thing you couldn't. Good job!" said Cassandra.

Everyone got ready to head for the police station but officers came to the house instead. The door was slammed open and the police officers arrested Fredrick. Cassandra ushered the boys to another room.

Cassandra spoke in French, "Qu'est-ce que c'est, officier?"

Translation: What is it officer?
