*THE NEXT MORNING*

Chris took the couch last night to sleep. It was either the floor or the couch. His decision. No way he was gonna end up in my bed. After Robin had a nightmare I decided to go to bed too. I gave Chris a blanket, a pillow and a new toothbrush so he has some stuff.

I wake up feeling great. Normally I'm still tired because the alarm clock rings at 6 am. I like to get tasks done before the boys wake up so I can be there one hundred per cent of the time. And after I'm done working I don't have the energy to clean the dishes. I look at the alarm clock, 10 am. 10 AM!?

I jump outta bed and throw on a robe. I run out of the door to find Chris with James and Robin. Fully dressed. And they had breakfast. I take a look at my table, oh no. It's covered in nutella. James' mouth is also covered in nutella.

"Good morning mama!" Robin yelled, both of them are wearing their Patriots shirts. Classic Chris. Both of their hair is a mess. "Good morning boys." I say, walking over to Chris to stand next to him.

Chris looks amazed, by what? No idea. "Did Chris get y'all ready for today?" They both nod. I feel a cold hand pressed against my stomach. Shit, I didn't close my robe. I like to sleep in a sport bra and shorts. Chris looks down at my stomach, almost in shock. "You- you look amazing." He says, his mouth is a bit open.

I slap his hand off and tie up my robe. "I'm gonna get dressed, James please wash your face, it's covered in nutella." I go back into my bedroom to change. My god, what is Chris trying to do? Does he want me back? Well he shot his shot, and he shot it. He doesn't have any shots left.

I walk back into the living room. James did what I asked, he washed his face. It all came off some how. And he didn't turn the floor into a pool. That's new. The only nutella left now is on my table and in the jar where is belongs.

Chris hands me a cereal bowl. "It used to be your favorite." He said in a sad tone. "It still is, thank you." I sit down on the couch, the table is too dirty. The boys are watching a movie. It looks like a quiet place. We don't have apple tv plus.

I quickly turn it off, it's too scary for them. They're five! Why the hell did Chris put that on? "Who's apple account is this?" I ask my twins. "Chris', he told us to just pick something. This one looked fun, and the woman on the cover looks very pretty." James answers, I chuckle.

"I'm so telling Emily that." Chris said with a chuckle. "Well, this movie is for grown ups. Like big grown ups. It even terrifies me." James nods. "It looked very scary, they couldn't talk. It was already like I was in my own nightmare."

I finished my breakfast and got the boys ready. With that I mean doing their hair. After that I cleaned the table while the boys are playing outside with Chris. I can hear James giggle from here.

After the table was finally clean I went outside to watch them play. Football has never been my thing, but of course I dated someone who watches every game and takes it very seriously. And then I have his sons who are just like him. Just as serious.

The doorbell rang, James and Robin ran to the door to see who it is. Chris and I followed. Ricky lives a few streets away so he comes over to our place often. "Hey, do you guys wanna play soccer?" James and Robin look at each other and nod.

"Is that okay miss Nelson?" I smile at Ricky. "Of course that's okay, don't make it too late please and don't go too hard on each other." I kiss both of my boys' forehead before they put on their coats and leave. That leaves Chris and I alone.

"I uh, wanted to talk to you about something." Chris says, looking down and kicking his feet. He's nervous. "Sure." We sit down on the couch and Chris begins.
