"What was he doing here!? I thought we had a no guys over policy?" Monique angrily asked after Quinn left.

"I didn't know he was coming, Nique! He just... Showed up halfway through the night." I shrugged, sitting down at the table.

"And you're supposed to be happy you've met him. You know how I feel about him."

"That's not the point, the point is-"

"Monique, just be fucking happy for me, please. He genuinely makes my life just a smidge more exciting i'm sorry he stayed over, it wasn't planned. It won't happen again. Don't let this make you hate him, please?" I pleaded, watching as she leant her head in her hands, closing her eyes.

"Okay, I'm sorry. I overreacted." She mumbled. I softly smiled.

"Thank you, Monique."

"Now, I'm gonna go to the shops, I've run out of foundation. Wanna come?" She asked, standing up.

"Yeah." I stood up, glancing at my phone as it buzzed.

From: Ash
Did your sister kill you??

I softly laughed at the message, shaking my head.

To: Ash
Nah still alive

From: Ash
Good.

To: Ash
I guess

I waited for a reply, ripping at my nail with my teeth.

From: Ash
Dinner tonight, my house?

I smiled, walking with Monique to her car parked outside.

"Are we doing anything tonight?" I asked my sister. She softly shook her head.

"No, whys that?"

"Nothing." I mumbled.

To: Ash
Yeah, sounds good

From: Ash
Cool. Can't wait to see you ;)

To: Ash
Me too

I locked my phone, smiling to myself as I got in the car, doing up my seatbelt.

"What's got you all flustered?" Monique softly laughed, raising her eyebrows.

"Seeing Ash again tonight." I said, biting my bottom lip.

"Oh, nice. Where?"

"Just his house." I shrugged, looking out the window at the houses whizzing past us. She nodded softly.

I stared out the window for the rest of the way, tapping away along with the music, humming under my breath.

The shops were packed, filled with loads of young teenagers finally on weekend.

Monique instantly dragged me to a shop called Babydoll, her favourite. I wasn't into these sort of clothes though- my style was just simple.

Band tees, jeans, hoodies, just simple stuff. It doesn't take a lot to please me when it comes to clothes. Just chuck me a Sleeping With Sirens shirt and I'll be stoked.

"Oooh, I should wear this for next Saturday!" She said, holding up a dress to herself.

"Yeah, looks good. What's next Saturday?"

"You know my mate, Mali?" She asked, checking the price tag.

"Yeah." I nodded.

"She's having a massive party, it's gonna be so good. You should come." She smiled.

"Oh- no, parties are not my thing." I laughed, shaking my head.

"Oh come on, Aubry! Come out and party with your awesome big sister." She playfully pouted, nudging me. I laughed again, turning around and walking around the shop. She followed behind me.

"No, Monique. I'm not going, I don't like parties."

"What if I said Ashton could come?" She asked. I turned around slightly, looking at her.

"Really?"

"yeah." She shrugged.

"Hmm... I'll think about it." I said causing a twitch of a smile on her lips, giving me a nod.

"Cool."
