The door swung open, Ashton standing there, a small smile on his lips.

"Hey, Ash." I smiled. He gestured for me to come in, opening the door wider.

"Hey."

"Smells good." I said, taking my coat off and putting it down on the couch. He smirked, glancing back at me as he walked to the kitchen. I followed behind.

"Thanks."

"Did you cook this yourself?" I asked, walking over to the cooking food on the stove. Ashton gave me a soft nod, placing his hands either side of my hips on the bench. I turned, looking at him.

"Oh yeah, are you interested in coming to a party with me this Saturday?" I asked, placing my hands on his shoulders. He leant in, pressing his lips against my neck.

"Mmm, that'd be cool. Who's party?"

"My sisters friend, Mali. She's pretty cool."

He kissed down my neck, humming against my skin.

"So your sister is going?"

"Yeah. Why do I feel like you guys already hate each other?" I asked. It seemed like they had met before, and regretted it greatly.

"Seriously don't know, Aubs. Why do I feel like you and Luke already hate each other?" He asked, turning the question around.

"That's different, Ashton. Me and Luke have history. I don't think that's the case with you and Monique." I said as he pulled away, looking down at me.

"History?"

"Well... Yeah." I shrugged, glancing down at his chest, avoiding his gaze.

"What happened?"

"It doesn't matter." I mumbled, shaking my head softly.

"Yeah it does, tell me what happened." He said, a demanding tone laced in his words. I looked back up at him.

"I don't need to tell you if I don't want to, Ashton. I don't ask about your history with other people."

"That doesn't matter, I'm asking you about Luke, this is different."

"How?" I scoffed.

"Luke is my best mate, I want to know what happened." He seemed bewildered now, confused as to why I wasn't telling him.

"Then ask him what happened."

"He won't tell me either, and honestly it makes me fucking nervous." His voice gradually got louder. I rolled my eyes at him, going to walk away, but he practically had me trapped.

"Tell me what happened." He pleaded, voice less demanding than before.

"Ash, please, I can barely even talk about him without wanting to cry, don't make me talk about our history. Please." I softly said, looking at him pleadingly.

His eyes softened, jaw clenching.

"I just... Feel like I'm missing out on a lot here." He admitted, running a hand through his hair.

"It's absolutely nothing to be worried about, you probably don't even want to know what happened between us. And it's totally irrelevant now, Ash. That was years ago."

"Wait, was he the reason that you cut the other night?"

I was taken back by his statement, which was said with no hesitation. I widened my eyes slightly, glancing beside me.
