We were walking through the lobby straight to the reception "damn this place is nice," I look around 'I hope this goes well, I cannot risk injury to either of you' Hypnos was sat on my shoulder,

"We'll be fine," I reassured him, as we neared the desk the receptionist didn't look up from his papers "tour starts by the sign,"

"We're not here for the tour," Percy unzips his bag "we're here to see Zeus," he pulls out the bolt and places it on the desk "we don't have an appointment,"

He takes us to an elevator and clicks the button that says 600, he steps out and the doors close after him "well that was something," Percy zipped his bag up again,

We make small talk as we wait for the elevator to stop, which didn't take long. A ding indicates that we've reached our floor and the doors open,

"Holy shit," we walk out slowly looking around, there are towering buildings looking as if they've been up for thousands of years,

We waste no time making our way up the stairs and towards where Zeus should be, the atmosphere suddenly changes and everything becomes dim,

We reached the top and there he was, sat in his throne waiting. Percy walks towards him and I follow close behind, Zeus sits up in his chair and Percy reaches for his backpack,

Zeus gets out of his chair and walks towards us silently, Percy holds out his bolt for him to take, he doesn't hesitate to take it back,

"I didn't steal it, neither did any of my friends, we found it we got it back," he pauses "we tried to get it to you on time, but-" Zeus cuts him off,

"You failed," Percy barely audibly says "yes," he continues "I did, but we had to come, we had to tell you who did steal it," he looks Zeus dead in the eyes,

"It was Kronos," I small buzzing in my head caught my attention 'hello child, I am so proud of you' my mothers voice rang through my head 'I am able to show myself to you now'

'Wait really?!' My eyes widened slightly but just enough that the other two didn't notice 'as soon as the boys father talks to him I will greet you aswell' I looked at Percy,

'Okay' she didn't say anything else, Zeus was now by his throne again "I know where Kronos is I put him there," he sighs and walks back towards us,

"I know who Kronos is, I am his son of course he's gathering strength, of course he's coming that's what we do. We snap and plot and strive,"

He stops a few steps away "it was only a matter of time before he did again," he finished his rant with another sigh,

"Thank you for the news, it is the only reason I'm letting you two leave alive," there's a pause "I have a war to prosecute now so when I say 'you must go' it means be grateful and it means be gone,"

"But the war can't continue," "boy!" Thunder rung out as he shouted "the war proceeds and it ends with victory, you escape with your lives that is your prize, what did you think? that you and I would negotiate?"

"I thought you might listen, Kronos wants you to fight my father, he wants you both weakened," Zeus counters Percy "I will not be weakened by my brothers,"

"You already are," I look at Percy "what are you doing," i tug his sleeve but he ignores me and carries on "your family is a mess, they don't support you because they love you! They obey because they're afraid,"

He takes a breath "Ares your son he turned on you the moment someone stronger showed up, do you really think he'll be the last? How afraid of you do you think they'll be when you dad shows up looking to put you back in your place?!"
