Back to Ms. Rayers' POV
I told myself that I wanted to get back home as soon as possible so that I could utilize Sunday to prepare for the hectic week ahead, and I certainly did not want to run into Dr. Kingston right now because I am so angry and do not want to see his face anywhere near me.
I got to the nearest bus station and called a cab, and before I knew it, I was back at my dorm complex. If I had been with Dr. Kingston, it would have taken us ages to get back here because of our little conversations and our unwillingness to let the journey finish. I paid the cab driver and walked to my dorm, where my roommates recognized that something had gone wrong based on my attitude. I just walked over to the couch, and the last thing I remember was the sight of the couch, my roommates' worried inquiries and expressions, and what Dr. Kingstin told me.
The sun's rays hit my face, bringing me up from my deep sleep. Was it morning? But I can't remember much. I stood up from the couch when I smelled fresh pancakes and noticed my roommates making them.
"Mmm.. good morning, these pancakes smell so good." I said.
"Good morning, Aria. "Did you sleep well?" Jane replied.
Yes, my name is Aria. Ms. Aria Rayers.
"Not really, I was so exhausted from yesterday and also upset." I said as I sat down on the kitchen chair.
"You were a mess yesterday." Katie spoke as she set a plate of pancakes and coffee in front of me.
"Eat up because we have a day of fun planned out for us."
I was appalled and raised an eyebrow at what Katie had said. Jane, seeing my bewildered expression, clarified the situation.
"We assumed that yesterday was not good for you soo... We have a nice day planned for today, and there are no objections.
"Really?!" I said.
"Yes really!!" Jane and Katie chorused.
"To be honest, I don't feel like doing much today since I'm still upset about what occurred yesterday, and I also have stuff to prepare for the week ahead. Please, you can go ahead without me." I gently declined the request.
Jane interjected. "Sorry, sweetheart, but no can do. I've already inquired with the places we're visiting, and Katie has already phoned Kayla, so there's really nothing you can say. You only need to get your gorgeous face upstairs, refresh up, and get dressed. We'll be waiting," and then they pushed me upstairs to get ready.
I had a bath and dressed as if I were single and eager to mingle. My housemates planned this day for me to lighten up and be joyful, so I'm going to do that and forget about the previous night's events.
Our first visit was the arcade, where we met Kayla; the girls would not allow me to pay for anything. They were the ones who purchased the coins for all of my games and refreshments. I had a great time, and the atmosphere was exciting. Our next destination was the boba corner business, which was the greatest in town at the time and I was dying to taste it, but here you see my bestie actually paying for my own boba. I tried to resist by saying I'd buy it for myself, but it didn't work. Either Jane and Katie or Kayla would simply come up and pay. I felt so glad and proud to have friends like this in my life, and the boba was fantastic. Our second-to-last stop was the local carnival. This carnival was famed for serving the best street food, and it was getting late. Jane was a foodie who insisted on stopping by practically every stall, and once again, I didn't pay for anything. My besties paid for all of the food I ate that evening. As we were about to leave the carnival, Jane stopped at the last vendor for takeout; of course, this chick wanted food to go. This day was wonderful, and I made it a point to express my gratitude to them at every stage. Katie turned to the back seat of the cab and told me.
