Izuku was right, his heat was starting soon, and it scared him. He could feel his pre-heat coming on, fuzzing his brain and making him unbearably hot at times.
To put it simply, it sucked.
It always sucked.
His body felt needy, and he knew what it wanted but did not want to give in. Every instinct in him craved the one thing Izuku wasn't willing to gin into yet. He wasn't ready. Especially when the thought that his boyfriends still just wanted him for his body was floating around his head.
Despite what some alphas may make omegas believe, they didn't actually have difficulty controlling themselves when exposed to omega in heat. They just used it as an excuse. Say their instincts wouldn't let them stop. Blame it all on the omega because it could never be an alpha's fault-some bullshit. So Izuku knew, realistically, his boyfriends should be fine to take care of him. They could bring him food or cuddle with him if that's what he wanted.
The real question was, would Izuku's heated brain register that they wouldn't do anything to harm him and just wanted to help?
The week could go one of two ways. Either Izuku is petrified by them because his fear of alphas had always been heightened in heat despite his body craving something from them. Or he could be fine and possibly more clingy because, for once, Izuku had good alphas who he wanted to be around. He had alphas he felt safe around.
Or there was a third option. The one Izuku would continue to refuse even to entertain, not when his brain kept throwing wild accusations about the three alphas and none of them being true. The third option would be for them to take advantage of him in his more vulnerable state. But they wouldn't.
He didn't think they would.
He hoped they wouldn't...
"Is there anything else we can get you for now?" Shoto asked softly, running his hand through Izuku's hair as he kissed the top of his head. The omega had learned he loved to play with his hair and would often kiss the top of his head without a real reason for the affection. Whenever Izuku asked why he did it, his only answer would be something along the lines of: "Am I not allowed to kiss your forehead? I will stop if it makes you uncomfortable." Izuku could admit to loving the softness, and he didn't think he'd refuse the soft forehead kisses.
Izuku looked over his shoulder and up at him, processing slowly as he leaned against Shoto's chest. "I don't think so."
They had all given him a few things with their scent on them, but the items had been put to the side if he decided he didn't want to be near any of the alpha's things while in heat. Izuku wasn't sure he'd want them, but they were there if he did.
Shoto hummed against the top of his head, gently squeezing his arms around Izuku's waist. "If you think of anything else, tell us. Okay? We want to make sure you have everything you need."
Izuku nodded. This was already more than enough. He couldn't think of the last time he had had the right supplies for his heat, so he should be fine now.
A soft knock on the door pulled Izuku from his thoughts. He looked over to see Eijiro entering the room with a mesh basket. "I got food and water for you. I don't know if it'll be enough for the week, but we'll be checking in on you regularly, so if you need more, it'll be no problem," the redhead explained, walking into the room and setting the basket down at the foot of the bed. The food basket had been their compromise when Izuku mentioned possibly not wanting to have the alphas come into the room, even to bring food.
"Thank you, Eijiro," Izuku said softly, his mind slowly fuzzing over. "You didn't need to."
Eijiro joined Izuku and Shoto, an arm snaking around the omega's back. Izuku still lent most of his weight against Shoto, but it was nice having both of them there to support him, though a small part of his brain was aware of how he was starting to feel boxed in. "Don't say that. We're happy to help. The snacks aren't exactly meals, but Katsuki's gonna be making you proper meals too if you want it and are okay with us bringing them in."
