Necessary, even if tedious, here is a short list of rules which should regulate yet improve the overall experience for everyone involved.
1. No NSFW
Even though it's in the game itself, I will not be rping that. A fade to black? FIne, perfect, gets the job done. Anything more? Not in my pms and certainly not in this book. Though swearing? Okay as long as it's censored.
2. No Mary/ Gary Sues
This is a rule with some nuance, as there as some truly powerful and powerfully eccentric characters in the game (*cough* Gale *cough*) Yet they all treat each other as normal people, apart from a remark about it here or there. Please do not stroll in with a character who personally knows all the gods, is besties with one of them, and everyone stops to turn their heads 360 degrees, falls to their knees to weep at their beauty. That's not realistic even for the game.
3. No Spam
Just be reasonable, if I haven't replied in a whole day, tag me. I'm usually busy with my studies and not always able to reply quickly, though I'll do my best to announce if I'm taking a hiatus. Password is your favourite character.
4. Keep it Fair
Try to keep the amount written for both characters fairly similar, don't write a sentence for my oc's love interest but a 700 word paragraph for your oc. And speaking of love interests, I play yours, you play mine.
5. No Asterisks, and no 1st Person
Unless they're being used in thoughts, I don't want to see asteriks or 1st person writing. Just stay descriptive, I don't expect a thesis for each reply but please try to aim for at least 4 lines per character.
6. Have fun
The whole goal of this book is to enjoy yourself, joy is mandated ^^
And ps. Put the password in the comments
