Tellin' myself it's the last time
Can you spare any mercy that you might find
If I'm down on my knees again?

Deep down, way down, Lord, I try
Try to follow your light, but it's nighttime
Please don't leave me in the end

Keith felt his consciousness shove far back in his mind. Agony and fear consumed his thoughts and he only saw everything without comprehension. His body moved on its own and his heart pounded with adrenaline. The beating made his head throb and muffled his hearing. If he had control of his breathing, he'd be hyperventilating. Lance was awake and okay, but it wouldn't be for long because of his dumb ass.

"Fucking Myble," Keith heard Lance say distantly. He couldn't hear anything else, but his senses weren't reliable at this point.

His hands started to feel hot... Oh God, why did they feel hot? Despite his lack of control, he could feel the tears run down his face. Keith didn't want to hurt anyone. He wished he could at least scream out the pain he was feeling. However, more than anything else, he wished they killed him before he could harm anyone. Especially, Lance.

"Keith! I need you to listen to me!" Lance's voice rang out again.

Keith struggled to listen. He couldn't hear anyone else, but Lance. Guilt cut sharp through his stomach. If he was using his own life force again, Keith could never forgive himself. Yet, he saw nothing of Lance's familiar blue light.

While Keith strained to regain his body and hearing, the rest of Team Voltron clambered to find a solution. The moment Keith had turned to Lance, Hunk had returned with food. Upon seeing the situation, he dropped the space goo and jumped on Keith's back. He had hoped his weight would hold some advantage over the immense Galran strength. Yet, Keith's body bucked him off with little struggle. Coran was pulling Lance away, and, while it was obvious Lance was the target, he screamed to be let go.

Shiro wrapped his robot arm around Keith and tried pulling him in the other direction. His façade crumbled as he strained to keep Keith restrained. His face contorted in pain as his wild eyes searched for someone to aid him. Allura tried to reach out to Keith, seemingly to see if she could use her magic to sedate Keith or even to do something worse if necessary.

Yet, Keith's body reacted fiercely to her closeness. Before Allura could realize it, his legs collided with her chest, knocking her far back and into a healing pod. The clear material splintered upon impact.

"WAIT!" Lance cried out. Everyone paused besides, Shiro and Keith. Yet, they all stared at him. Lance begged, "None of you were there. None of you understand what has been done to him but me! The Queen... Fucking Myble cursed him. I've gotten him back before, so please let me help him!" His voice broke at the end.

Allura winced in pain as she stood and snapped, "How can you help him? You'd need magic to aid him and you're just human."

A shot rang out and Shiro yelled out in surprise. Pidge had come out of nowhere and was holding a device Lance didn't recognize. Keith had fallen out of Shiro's grip and his hands were bound by some translucent material. His body jerked like it wanted to move, but he remained a crumpled mess on the floor.

Pidge fixed her askew glasses, before retorting, "Just let him help, Allura. Like he said, he knows more than us. That's plenty enough reason to give permission." Both of the girls were locked in a heated staring contest, but it wasn't long before it was clear Pidge had won.

Coran didn't wait for Allura's instruction, yet he still reluctantly let Lance go. His body was still sluggish from the healing pod and he could feel it hadn't finished. At the sight of Keith, Lance was able to will his body to move forward. His legs gave out and he clumsily sat next to Keith. Hesitantly, he placed his hand on Keith's cheek and closed his eyes to focus.
