4. Bold or stupid?

" Matthew, will you be more precise?", Hanbin hadn't stopped nagging the boy since morning to which Matthew grumbled grumpily," Why don't you do it yourself?"

Hanbin was about to say something but Hao beat him up to it," Guys, it's lunchtime how about we have Fried Chicken?"

" Oh, I'd love to take you to Mrs. Sock's Restaurant, It's the best", Matthew replied excitedly

"Really? Where is it?", Taerae asked curiously to which Matthew replied sarcastically,

" in Jeju do"

" Damn you, let's get going", Hanbin ended the conversation and motioned his teammates to follow him.

As the were walking by Hanbin suddenly halted at the sight of his boss.

" Why did you stop?", Hao asked looking at him but shut his mouth when he saw The Company's CEO.

Opposite from other's reactions Matthew called out," Boss why are you late today?"

Hearing such a bold statement coming out of an Intern's mouth, the other people standing there kept their mouths agape looking at the young man in front of them.

Keeping a stoic face Jiwoong replied," I stopped by the hotel to check on something, why?"

He turned around and was about to go inside his cabin but Matthew stopped him again, " Boss-"

"-Matthew will you stop talking? your mom should have fed you with ashes when you were young and should have killed you off", Hanbin mumbled in Matthew's ear.

offended by such a remark he turned toward Hanbin instead of Jiwoong and scoffed," stop nagging already"

Noticing the close proximity between the two of them Jiwoong asked," What is going on there?"

"-Ah, Nothing, We are going out for chicken would you like to join", Matthew asked and Hanbin Pinched him on his waist but surprisingly Hao reacted

" Ow, I Just got Bitten by an ant", Hao laughed it off and glared at Hanbin," You pinched the wrong one"

Jiwoong sensed the discomfort and replied instead that he would like a coffee when he returned to the building.

" Just a moment please", The barista of the café shouted while Matthew was waiting for his order meanwhile two elder women from his office were standing there and were taking glances at Matthew as if they wanted to say something. 

" Do you want to ask me something?", Matthew asked turning around 

" uh... you should be careful you know?"

" Careful for what if I may ask?"

" we can't say much about that", said the lady feigning fear

" Can you spill a little bit then?"

" let's just say don't get too close to the boss, especially one on one, Don't!"

Chuckling loudly Matthew replied," You guys are talking as if he is a serial killer or so"

" we mean well, you are good-looking and kind please take extra caution about... you know"

Smiling sinisterly Matthew spoke up, "Thank you for your concern but we live in a modern age now. who eats who or who gets eaten is their choice to make. for example, you can choose what we want to eat at lunchtime, right?"

Laughing off nervously they spoke," Yes, of course"

"your coffee is ready" " the barista again spoke causing Matthew to pay and leave with his order.

Jiwoong was working on a few documents when suddenly someone barged inside his room.

" I didn't forget", said Matthew and knocked on the door after coming inside and served a new coffee.

" Coconut juice with two shots of expresso, no add-on syrup but slightly sweet from the juice. Can you take it I haven't tried it yet, was recommended by the Barista"

sipping the coffee Jiwoong smiled softly and said," You dozed off in the middle of our call last night and I was awake all night until now"

" you were silent, I thought you fell asleep"

"Next time don't judge what you haven't seen from your own eyes"

"Come on, I couldn't see you through your voice right?"

Thinking for a moment Jiwoong replied," Then we will switch to video calls, so you can see whether I slept or not"

Matthew smiled shyly and nodded
