Another day Another slay.
It was kind of a motto Matthew kept for himself lately to survive in the workplace,
" that was delicious", Taerae exclaimed softly while his teammates were climbing upstairs toward their office.
"by the way Matthew, how do you like your internship till now? It's been a while", Hao asked to which Matthew confirmed that it was going well.
"well well, whatever you say, what if the boss wants to hire you, will you stay on?", Questioned Taerae curiously but Matthew replied uninterested,
" no, I don't like working in an office, I will be rich by playing games"
The other three shrugged and walked away but Matthew turned back when he heard a faint comment saying, "You can be rich by being the CEO's partner"
It was the same ladies he met at the coffee shop last time,
" Were you talking to me?", Matthew approached them slowly.
" How are you? we see you in and out of the boss's office all the time, you like it huh? No wonder you were so upset the day we warned you"
" I seemed upset?", He scoffed
" Hey don't judge him yet", Awkwardly chuckled the other lady but the one who was taunting Matthew spoke again,
" Do you get sexually harassed at all when you are in his office?"
"What did you say?", Matthew was disgusted with these so-called employees who were talking shit about their boss who pays them to live their life.
" Do you get touched on your arm, hand butt?", continued the other lady
" Besides getting yelled at or snapped at, I don't get those things, do you experience those?", Matthew questioned faking his curiosity but quickly the ladies started shaking their heads and stated,
"Oh please, we are not his type, we heard people say he's gay", Chuckled the lady
Having enough of this bullshit Matthew lashed out, " What year are we living in? Is this Joseon or what? Are you guys still against that? I even support marriage equality do you people not watch the news at all? It's such a mess. It keeps getting postponed. never being authorized"
Matthew took a sharp breath and exclaimed, " Love is always pleasant regardless of who has it"
He slowly looked at the CEO's cabin and found out that Jiwoong was standing there almost the whole time. Jiwoong quickly bolted into his cabin after his eyes met with Matthew resulting in Matthew following him inside.
" you knock but enter without my permission, Don't bother to knock next time", Jiwoong spoke with his head down on his table.
" How much did you hear boss?", Matthew asked sympathetically. Slowly lifting his head Jiwoong retorted," Hear what, those things they said?"
Impatiently Matthew spoke," If you'd walk in and cut them with your words, they would've quit gossiping about you"
" Hey", Jiwoong sighed deeply and added," Why should I do anything of that sort? what they say is partly true"
"but you should defend yourself about what is not", Matthew spoke harshly.
" what do you want me to do? explain to them how I never touched my employee's behind? Matthew, you're above 20 you should realize that explanations can't solve problems"
" But those people are over thirty, even nearing forty, yet they shouldn't say this stuff", the younger argued seriously
Coming close to him Jiwoong said," Because I don't want to be like them"
Looking at the confused face of the Intern Jiwoong continued," You don't like them too do you? If we do what you say then it will mean that the world will have two more bad people"
Finally realizing what the other meant Matthew nodded," That's true"
" When you get older, you'll learn that sometimes it's better to keep quiet", Said jiwoong and Matthew nodded again understandingly.
"Were you shocked though?", Jiwoong changed the topic and Matthew was a bit slow to realize the change in the flow of the conversation.
" by what?"
"By the fact that I don't like women"
"Why would I be?"
" I don't know when I tell people about this, they seem taken aback but you don't. And I'm not used to this", Jiwoong shrugged
"Boss I don't know How much you heard that but I'm okay with all kinds of love, Ricky and Gyuvin, My gaming Teammates have the same kind of love you have and I am truly very happy for them. Boss, I don't know what kind of society you've experienced but for Hanbin Hyung and I this is so normal"
"Many people seem to understand at first until they start asking who the top or bottom is. When we want to have kids, they want to know who the father or the mother will be. Honestly, I feel like a freak in society, seeing you talk to those people...makes me...afraid that you'd be disgusted by-"
Matthew quickly Hugged Him and whispered," What about this? You still think I'm disgusted by you? Honestly I dislike you for so many things but I hate to see you sad", Matthew let go of him and added, "Bring back the cold boss who always likes to argue with me. He suits you better" and winked at the last part.
" I told you I don't like skinship with people I'm not close to"
" Oh come on, I was just comforting you. Whenever Ricky is upset Gyuvin always hugs him like this to calm him down, Have you had lunch yet?"
"hey, when changing one subject to other please leave space"
Matthew simply just smiled and left the room.
" What are you doing to me", Jiwoong mumbled watching Matthew leave.
