Chapter 12

Author's Note: 10.1K?!?! OMG THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH!!! So tomorrow's update will be the last chapter :'( sad I know but I will put up the sequel the next day! Also I don't remember much of what happened before the dinosaur fight so I'm winging it. A huge thanks to all of you for reading this!

This was officially the end. Okay maybe I was being slightly dramatic but this was it. The final showdown.
As the three raptors closed in on us Gray and Zach moved closer to Claire most likely for a sense of security.

"Owen," I whisper but he ignores me and he holds his hand out towards Delta who was in front of him. Owen then says something but I got distracted by Echo who was closing in closer to me to hear what he said.

Then in within seconds Charlie, Echo and Delta all turned and faced Jennifer. They hissed at her before they closed in on the attacked.

"Run!" Owen said and everyone took off running. Owen and I stopped to shoot at her.

"Nicole!" Gray shouted my name but I ignored him. Owen and I continued shooting at him and then I watched in horror as one of the raptors were thrown off and burned in a fire. This night certainly wasn't going to end well.

I got up and then ran over to where Claire, Gray and Zach were and Owen still stayed shooting at her.

"Owen!" I called his name and this time he did listen. He came over to us and it was just as her giant tail swooped over and destroyed the roof top of the gift shop building. Zach an Gray panicked and Claire held them close to her.

"We're going to die aren't we?" Gray asked and Claire and I both shook our heads.

"We aren't going to," said and Owen began shooting at her again. Her roars echoed through the dead of night and it made me cringe.

Her claw came in and almost nicked Gray and he pulled his legs closer to his body. I could see tears silently rolling down his cheeks as she took another grab at her prey. Which just happened to be us.

This time her long claw hooked onto Gray's fannie pack and he was freaking out. Claire reached for the hook to unhook it but her hands were shaking.

"Damn come on," I heard her mumble and finally at the last minute she unhooked it and I let out a sigh of relief. I took notice that one raptor was still trying to bring her down for the kill. Owen was helping by shooting. We all watched in fear, waiting to see the outcome of this whole mess.

"We need more teeth," Gray whispered and we all looked at him like he had just something crazy. It took me a few moments to actually process what he meant.

"Gray that's brilliant!" I exclaimed and I took off running. I came to a stop at paddock 9. Where we kept our T-Rex.

"Lowery? Do you copy?" I said as I paused in front of the paddock gate to take a breath.

"Nicole?" It wasn't Lowery's voice that came over the Bluetooth speaker in my ear but Michael's.

"Michael?" I asked surprised to hear his voice.

"Yes?"

"What are you doing? Wait don't answer that. Now is not the time. I need you to open paddock nine."

"Why?"

"Just don't ask questions and open the bloody gate!" I yelled and then the gate slowly began opening and I pulled out one of the flares from my back pocket. Quickly I lit it just as the T-Rex emerged from the shadows.

I took off again running and I held the fire cracker tight in my hand. My head started spinning and I felt dizzy but I had to keep moving. Once I made it back to where the Indominous Rex was I threw the flare at her making the T-Rex go over to her. In a second I was knocked over by her tail and landed on the cold wet pavement.

The two of them began to fight. Both aiming at each other's necks. I crawled back as the T-Rex's back foot almost crushed me. Just in time I darted behind some rocks and I looked at Owen, Claire, Zach and Gray.

"Run!" I yelled at them and I watched nervously as they darted out of the gift shop made it over to where I was just in time as the roof caved in as the Indominus's tale came crashing down on it. Owen appeared at my side and took my hand once next to me. Him being there made me feel slightly better.

We all took a moment to breathe and resister exactly what was still going on. The two reptiles continued to battle with each other. Claws scraped at the neck and face. Then the T-Rex fell down and I though she was going to die as Jennifer closed in on her giving a loud roar. Ready to kill. Another roar then came from the opposite end of the park and I turned to see Blue running down. I was so relived and scared at the same time that I squeezed Owen's hand a little tighter. I took a quick glance at Claire and the boys. She both had her arms around them.

My attention turned back to the fight I saw Blue lunge at Jennifer, going for the area around the neck. By doing that it gave the T-Rex enough time to get up and continue the battle. The clawing, scratching and roaring lasted for another five minutes before the T-Rex and Blue inclosed Jennifer between them and the water. There was no where to go. I then watched in shock as Maggie jumped out of the water, her gigantic jaws grasping Jennifer around the neck. She gave one last roar before she was pulled under the water. She was gone. It was over. Owen helped me up.

"Oh my god," I whispered and Owen wrapped one arm around me for comfort. Zach looked at me and smirked. I gave him a dirty look in return.

"You boys okay?" Claire asked and they both hugged her in response and she returned the hug. We then watched Blue and the T-Rex walk off, returning to their home deep in the jungle.

"Let's get out of here." Owen said and we all nodded in agreement before slowly walking away. Away from a place I had called home for 5 years.  All of that was gone now.

Before leaving I turned around to take one last look at everything. I felt upset about leaving all of this behind but maybe it was for the better.

"It will be okay Nicole." Owen said to me and lightly pressed a kiss on my forehead.

"Yeah," I mumble and we all then walk out of the park together.
