As Silver Wolf continued to navigate her way through the labyrinthine corridors of the Armed Detective Agency headquarters, she couldn't shake off the sense of anticipation mingled with apprehension. Meeting Atsushi had been an unexpectedly warm welcome, but she knew there were more members of the Agency she needed to acquaint herself with.

Turning a corner, she stumbled upon a group of individuals engaged in conversation. At the group's center stood a man exuding an aura of enigmatic charm. His sharp gaze met hers, and Silver Wolf felt a shiver run down her spine. This must be Dazai, the infamous former executive of the Port Mafia turned detective. His reputation preceded him, a mixture of brilliance and eccentricity.

"Ah, if it isn't our newest member," Dazai said with a playful grin, his eyes gleaming with mischief. "Welcome to the Agency, Silver Wolf. I trust you're adjusting well to our little family?"

"You." She replied flatly, her face neutral.

Dazai grinned, his eyes still gleamed with mischief. "Yes, me. The one who knocked you out and forced you to join us."

She raised an eyebrow, then moved her hands to her hips. "Seriously? Not even a sorry for knocking you out? Respect your old friend."

"Not so old now." He replied with a small chuckle, "You're now one of us, so yeah."

She face palmed, he was still the same old suicidal bandaged mackerel she knew, childish, carefree, and mischievous.

"I believe you're still looking for a beautiful girl to commit suicide with?"

Dazai sighed dramatically and pressed his hand on his chest, "Yes, it's a pity no one will." His eyes then shone up, "Will you -"

"No."

Dazai's grin widened at Silver Wolf's quick rejection, his playful demeanor unfazed by her response. "Ah, a shame. But I'll have to settle for dragging you into dangerous situations instead."

Silver Wolf rolled her eyes, resisting the urge to groan aloud. Dealing with Dazai was proving to be just as exhausting as she had anticipated. But beneath his playful facade, she couldn't help but sense a keen intelligence at work, a mind constantly analyzing and strategizing, even in the most mundane of interactions.

As Dazai continued to banter, Silver Wolf found herself reluctantly drawn into the conversation, her guard gradually lowering in the face of his infectious enthusiasm. Despite her initial reservations, there was something undeniably compelling about the former Port Mafia executive, a magnetic charm that seemed to captivate those around him.

Their exchange was interrupted by the arrival of Kunikida, his no-nonsense demeanor, a stark contrast to Dazai's easygoing attitude. "Dazai, we have a meeting regarding our next case. Stop wasting time and come with me."

Dazai flashed a mischievous grin before turning to Silver Wolf. "Looks like duty calls, Silver Wolf. Shall we?"

With a resigned sigh, Silver Wolf followed Dazai to the meeting room, her mind already bracing itself for the inevitable chaos that seemed to follow in his wake.

She observed the members in the meeting room, and there was Kunikida, the stern and pragmatic member of the Agency, who was obsessed with plans. Ranpo, the genius detective with a very childish and lazy personality (she knew he was 26, but to her, he's 26 without the 2). Tanizaki, his loyalty to the Agency and overprotective for his sister, and Naomi, his very clingy sister. And of course, Atsushi, next to him, was Kyouka. Silver Wolf's grey eyes narrowed slightly, a former Port Mafia assassin. Kenji, with his cheerful and innocent demeanor, and Yosano, a beautiful yet dangerous person to mess up with (she got all of that information by hacking into the database of the Special Division for Unusual Powers, in her opinion, the name was too long, so she usually mentioned them by the Division).

As Silver Wolf took her seat in the meeting room, she couldn't help but feel a mixture of curiosity and apprehension swirling within her. This was her chance to observe the dynamics of the team in action to gauge their strengths and weaknesses firsthand.

Kunikida wasted no time launching into the details of their next case, his voice crisp and authoritative as he outlined their objectives. Silver Wolf listened intently, her analytical mind already formulating strategies and contingencies.

Ranpo lounged in his chair, seemingly uninterested in the proceedings as he lazily twirled a pen between his fingers. "So, what's the case this time? Another missing person? Boring."

Kunikida shot him a stern glance. "This is a serious matter, Ranpo. Lives are at stake."

Ranpo shrugged nonchalantly. "Well, you can handle it, Kunikida. I'll just sit back and wait for you to solve it."

Silver Wolf couldn't help but admire Ranpo's confidence, even if it bordered on arrogance. His keen intellect was undeniable despite his penchant for laziness.

Meanwhile, Tanizaki fidgeted nervously in his seat, his eyes darting around the room as if searching for an escape route. "Um, excuse me, but what exactly is our role in this case?"

Kunikida sighed impatiently. "Our role is to investigate the recent string of robberies targeting high-profile clients. We need to gather information, analyze evidence, and apprehend the culprits before they strike again."

Tanizaki nodded nervously, his determination evident despite his apprehension. "Right, got it. I'll do my best to assist."

Atsushi glanced at Kyouka, concern evident in his eyes. "Are you okay, Kyouka? This case might bring back memories of your past."

Kyouka nodded silently, her gaze distant as she grappled with her emotions. "I'll be fine, Atsushi. I won't let my past define me."

Silver Wolf admired Kyouka's strength and resilience, her determination to overcome her past traumas and forge a new path forward.

Meanwhile, Kenji beamed with enthusiasm, his eyes shining with excitement. "I can't wait to get started! Let's catch those thieves and save the day!"

Yosano chuckled softly, her voice carrying a hint of danger beneath its melodic tone. "Careful what you wish for, Kenji. You might just get more than you bargained for."

Silver Wolf's heart slightly jumped at the sentence, wait...

"Careful what you wish for, my dear Silver Wolf~, you might just get more than you bargained for..."

Kafka...

You still haunted me, huh...

I guess I've bonded with you and the others than I've intended to...

Doesn't matter.

You're gone anyway...
