1pm

Marinas POV

My head was pounding, stomach churning, I felt sick and I don't even remember why. I lifted my limbs lazily out of bed realizing shortly that I was only wearing my underwear. I shifted my head to the right and saw a note.

" Hey babe, I had to skip for work and didn't want to wake you, i had a feeling ud wake up w a killer hangover so I made coffee and left it on the counter. Feel free to raid the fridge, and thnx for last night, I needed it - jack"

shit.

I slowly got up and started to search for my clothes that had been littered about the apartment and spotted my dress, at the end of the hall by the kitchen. Pulling it down over my thighs I stumbled over one of my scuffed black heels and landed with my palms on the ice cold tile of the kitchen floor. I sighed and blew my hair out of my face, only to be met with the sun invading the room, through the long window panes across the complex. Squinting I pulled myself off the now luke warm tile and avoided looking up at the sun. I poured my self a cup of coffee and finished it rather quickly. Grabbing my bag and collecting my shoes, I scribbled sorry on to a post it and pressed it against the door of the fridge. I looked to my left and saw a bowl of froot. I snatched an apple, and shuffled out the door.

Hung over and pretty damn clueless as to what happened the night prior, I decided I should eat properly, so i rummaged through my bag to find a pair of scratched sunnies and found my car.I drove to my flat and decided to make an omelet and have a day to my self in hopes of shaking the undeniable pain I was in.

'fuck this' i anounced to myself, disregarding my half eaten, terribly made omelet. I was confused and I didn't care, I wanted to sleep,  and i wanted to piss off.

Lanas POV

6pm

I still ached from the flight but sleeping helped settle the knots in my neck a bit. I stepped into the kitchen to grab a glass of water and found a text from chuck on my phone.

"Liz I'm goin out with a couple of Friends to investigate some of the best night light shooting areas, there's a bar down the street I heard was cool called Switch, go check it out. Have fun, c u prob tmro"

I figured I might as well give it a shot because I didn't really know anyone in the area who wasn't swamped with work. I slipped on a black cocktail dress with white detailing and black heels. I did my make up and curled the ends of my hair, letting loose strands collect around my face. When I finished, I grabbed my phone and my wallet and took the elevator downstairs to ask for directions.

Marinas POV

After watching the Heathers, and having a three hour nap, I decided that I didn't want to be at home alone all night. Considering I just spent 6 hours watching movies on Netflix, napping, and bingeing a pint of Ben and jerry's ice cream, I felt kind of pathetic.

I opened a new page on my laptop and searched for new and upcoming pubs in London. I scrambled the cursor over a couple of pages of reviews and names and finally something caught my eye."Switch". It was within walking distance and according to the reviews the service is fast, which is good because I need a drink stat. I didn't know what was making me so upset but, lately I couldn't help but feel empty and alone. I wanted a friend. I needed someone to cure my false sense of living for more then a night, and better yet i wanted to remember that.

sick of the feeling, I sprung out of bed and began to get ready. I glanced blankly in my wardrobe for a while, then saw a shred of hope hidden between groups of clothed hangers.

I found a pair of black cigarette trousers, and a halter crop top and tugged on a pair of matching black stilettos. glancing at my self in the mirror I fixed my tight waves a bit and reassured myself that i didn't look like a complete mess. Turning off the lights, I made sure to grab my phone and cash and walked out the door, keys in hand.

Lana'S POV

I walked up to the entrance and scanned the place over. It looked like a simple joint, nothing super special except, it was packed. I snaked my was through the chatting people throughout the room and hunted for a bartender. "Whiskey please", I chanted until the tall handsome dude finally caught my request over the din. After a couple minutes he returned with my drink and set it on a branded coaster flashing me a smile. "Thanks" I replied as I tried to avoid staring at his toned ass as he turned to attend to more customers. I smiled to myself, then sat in silence for a while sipping away slowly, and observing the coming and going of young souls. At one point a woman sat beside me at what seemed to be the only available stool left in the house. Careful not to hit my bag by my feet she sat down and ordered a vodka.

As she waited she glanced at me, " Hi I'm Marina" she said.

She was even more gorgeous then the photos, silky black hair with glowing olive colored skin and an impeccably maintained body. id been a fan of hers for a while, i envied her unshakeable confidence as she sang and her super cute personality.

"Lana" I replied after some time, calmly and in awe.

"Yeah I know you're one of my favorite artists" Marina stated sheepishly

" That's sweet of you to say Marina, I've actually huge fan of yours." i said blushing, trying to keep my eyes from wandering down her body.

" really?! No way, I'm kind of really flattered. By the way, you look great." M said

" yes really" i chuckled," and thank you, you look, kinda really sexy." i said under my breath.

I see her smirk a bit and take another long sip of her drink. my cheeks flushed and I went silent for a short moment.

I cant believe i just said that, maybe she thought i was hitting on her. Maybe I am. Maybe I am really attracted to her. Maybe she makes me feel confident. Or maybe i'm just overthinking this.

I snapped out of my daze to hear the end of marina's question.

"pardon" I shouted, pretending it was just too loud to hear her voice over the chatter.

" i said, So what brings you to London?"

" I'm on tour for a couple days" I answered.

" that's awesome, I'm actually planning to start touring in the up coming year" she shouted, continuing to smile.

" thats exciting! I love touring, but I'm always on the run, I never really get a rest"

" sorry about that, well you're here now so, bartender!" She flagged him down " can we get a couple round of shots here" she yelled over the noise.

I wish i had her confidence. I found it empowering and sexy. I'd never had feelings for a woman before and I didn't know what to expect. Her presence made me feel excited about living again, She made me feel safe and in danger at the same time. she made me feel free again. i thought maybe it was the break up i had just struggled through, or the alcohol but eventually i realized it was just her. I wasn't sure but something inside told me I was going to get to know Marina, so I asked for her number and played it off as a possible business  opportunity, but maybe it could be more then that.
