As he stared off into space, Jaehan couldn't shake off the image of Yechan kissing and being so touchy with another girl at the park. Yechan looked so happy with her. Not only him his friends also witnessed it all. Jaehan didn't say a word. He just left the scene as soon as possible because it was too painful for him.

His friends were calling and texting him nonstop since then he didn't dare to answer any of them.

He still couldn't believe that after all this time, Yechan was still the same person - the player, the cheater, the one and only Shin Yechan.

Even though Jaehan had always known about Yechan's reputation, he couldn't help but hold on to the small glimmer of hope that maybe, just maybe, Yechan had changed for the better. Seems like his friends were right. Now, the painful truth is right in front of him.

His heart felt like it was being squeezed tightly, the ache spreading through his entire body. He couldn't understand why he even allowed himself to fall for someone like Yechan. He was foolish to believe that Yechan also fell for him.

But as hard as he wanted to push Yechan out of his mind, he couldn't help but think of all the moments they shared together even if it was for a short time. Maybe they were just a part of Yechan's game all along.

Jaehan's fists clenched in anger, and he couldn't help but curse himself for falling so hard for someone who would never be capable of returning his feelings truthfully.

"Maybe it's my karma for hurting Hangyeom after all."

With a heavy heart, Jaehan wiped away his tears and stood up from the couch. He made his way to his room.

After a few moments, Yechan returned home, which was dark and eerily quiet. He immediately searched for Jaehan but could not find him anywhere downstairs.

As he ascended the stairs, he wondered if Jaehan could be in his room. Standing outside of Jaehan's closed door, Yechan hesitated.

Maybe he is sleeping?

He didn't want to go to Jaehan, but he was growing anxious to see him. Ultimately, Yechan decided to retreat to his own room and lay on the bed, hoping to see Jaehan in the morning.

Jaehan stood in the doorway of Yechan's bedroom, and he dropped the bag on the ground that he was holding. His eyes were filled with hurt and anger as he stared at Yechan, who was sitting on the bed with a confused look on his face because of Jaehan's sudden arrival.

"What's wrong, Jaehan? What happened?"
Yechan asked, a hint of concern in his voice.

Jaehan took a deep breath, trying to control his emotions before speaking.
"I... I saw you, Yechan. I saw you with that girl, the one from school. You were so lovey dovey with her."

Yechan let out a sigh.
"Jaehan, it's not what you think. She asked me out, and I didn't know how to say no."

"But you didn't even try to stop it, did you?"
Tears started falling down from Jaehan's eyes.
"You didn't think about how it would make me feel. You didn't think about how it would affect us."

Yechan sighed, getting up from his bed.
"What do you want me to say, Jaehan? I messed up, okay? I'm sorry."

"You're sorry?"
Jaehan's voice rose with each word.
"I thought we had something special, Yechan. I thought you cared about me."

"Oh please, Jaehan. It's not like we were ever in love. Stop being so melodramatic. Just forget it and move on."
Yechan rolled his eyes.

"I- I thought you loved me..."
Jaehan's voice cracked as he spoke, his eyes filling with tears again.
