We travelled up to city yesterday to play them today. I sat next to Beth on the bus who told me 'fans were pumped to see me back out there, even though it wasn't for city'
We get to the jole stadium and we do a walk round the pitch. I see the Man City girls come out. I was walking with Beth, Viv and Caitlin. I felt someone jump on me "Chloe" I say and turn around and hug her.
"There you are!" She says excitedly
"I missed you" she says
"I missed you too" I say
Alanna runs up to Caitlin and then hugs me. "Alright lani?" I say
"Yeah you?" She asks
"Yeah" I say. I had felt a lot better these past couple days. I'm focusing on myself and no one else.
"We heard what happened between you and Lauren" Chloe says
"Nothing happened we just broke it off" I say
"What? That's not what Lauren told us" Chloe says
"What did she say?" I ask
"She told us she admitted to her kissing Jill roord. Apparently they've had a secret fling a couple of times. She seriously didn't tell you this?" Alanna says
"No" I say confused, why did she tell me this?
"Well that explains it" I say

The anger for this girl was indescribable now.
I look at Beth, Viv and Caitlin they looked just as confused as me. I walk around with Alanna and Chloe. "Why do you think she didn't tell me?" I ask
"Maybe she didn't want to hurt you" Chloe suggests
"Maybe she just didn't want to admit it. She felt ashamed?" Alanna suggests
We get to the arsenal girls. "See you later girls" I say as they walk on.

"Bye" they reply and find their teammates.
I stand with the girls. Mostly Caitlin and Katie. Lia comes up to me taking a deep breathe before talking "could I talk to you?" She asks. "Sure"I say. "See you later you two" I say to Katie and Caitlin who wave at me as I walk inside with Lia.
"What's up?" I ask
"I need someone to talk too" she says
"Go on then. Let it all out" I say
"I'm not very good at the full advice thing. But with you and Lauren, I know you broke up and shit. And I know you're struggling like me, I just need some advice how the fuck do I get over her. She's been dating Katie for 4 months now and nothings changed in my heart, like I said I tried distracting myself but nothing changed" she says fast.
"Woah slow down Lia. Look I'm not getting over her anytime soon either. We just need to adjust to the fact that they've moved on okay" I say and put my hand on lias shoulder. "No matter how hard it is" I add
"Yeah" she replies
"Come on let's beat city" I say
We go into the changing rooms and get ready, the girls start coming in and doing the same. Beth comes over and gives me a present. "You can only open it if you play today" Beth says
"Okay thank you" I say

We walk out and warm up. Leah was my training partner. "You feeling better?" She asks
"Yeah, I'm just focusing on myself at the minute" I say
"That's good. Hey erm Beth told me what Alanna and Chloe said. I'm sorry" she says
"It's fine Leah, I kinda suspected something. Just didn't realise it was true" I say
We go inside and Jonas does the team talk. The subs walk out for the bench. I walk alongside Leah and viv and we sit down. The crowd cheers as the city and arsenal teams start walking out the tunnel.

We start off strong but don't seem to be able to get a goal. We go into half time drawing 0-0.

At around 55 minutes Jonas says "vivianne, Leah and Bailey warm up. Your coming on in 10 minutes"
We run down the side with our bibs over our coats and start warming up.

After 10 minutes we walk back up and talk to the assistant coach who tells us our positions and how to attack better.
The assistant put my number up '16' for Beth mead . I high five her and run on. The crowd were cheering.
Maanum came off for Viv, and Laia Codina came off for Leah.
Since I was on the wing I was battling Chloe quite a lot. I win the ball off her and lob it towards Russo in the centre. She kicks it but kheating saves it. She puts her thumbs up at me and we wait for the goal kick.

I notice a tactical change in the Man City squad, Lauren was now on my side. We clash heads as we get the ball, I fall to the floor and grip onto my head. The referee blows her whistle and the medics run over. Lauren was beside me. "Fuck off you dirty prick" Katie says to her. Lauren gets up and walks away. I presumed Caitlin told her.

They turn me onto my back and do some regular checks in case of concussion. They stand me up and walk me to the side. I have to wait 30 seconds before I'm allowed back on the pitch. I run on and the crowd cheers.

Lia gives me a thumbs up as she passes me the ball I run into the penalty box nutmegging Alanna, I try and slide it past kheating and it happens. I get arsenal in the lead. I don't celebrate as it's my old team so I get the ball and out it back in the middle.

We see the game out with a win. At the end of the match Lia comes up to me "you smashed it" she tells me. "It was your assist" I say and laugh

"Aah!" Beth screams at me. "You fucking scored!" She says as she jumps onto me.
We walk round the stadium clapping for the travelling fans.

We shake hands with the city players. "You did well" Ellie tells me "thanks el, you'll do well soon don't worry" I say
"Barcelona eyeing me up" she whispers and I gasp. "Wait seriously?" I ask "yeah" she replies and we both laugh. "I'm so happy for you el" I say and give her a hug.

Alanna and Chloe come back up to me "good game" Chloe says. Alanna didn't look too happy "nutmegging me seriously?" She says annoyed. "Oh grow up lani" I say laughing
"That was so unfair" the Aussie says
"But you did good" she says completely changing her attitude and embracing me in a hug.
I see Lauren coming towards me. "Look I better go okay" I say
"Yea that's fine, see you soon?" Chloe says and clicks her tongue before they leave.
"Love you both see yous" I say to them. "We love you too" they say as they walk off.
"Wait up" Lauren says. I turn around and say "hey"
"Hi" she says "good to see you" she adds and goes to hug me. But I pull back, that's a good one for the cameras I think to myself.
"Congrats on the goal" she says
I nod my head "thanks" I say awkwardly.
"You didn't tell me" I say
"What?" She asks
"You and Jill, you didn't say out. Is that why this ended?" I ask
"It was a factor I guess, but it didn't matter" she says
"It did matter though Lauren" I say started to get annoyed, "it matters to me" I say
"Look-" she goes to say.

"Come on Bailey" Leah says and drags me away from the situation. "Thank you" I say as I lean onto her.
