Chapter 18: Time

Chifuyu joined the battle backing up Takemichi to focus on Mikey while he dealt with Hanma.

The others in Toman slowly got up chanting their team name and morale skyrocketed.

At the same time Mikey's Malice unleashed.

"Well here he goes~ I'll stop him if he goes too far...Even I don't want that Takemichi kid to die~" I said happily swinging my legs.

"Really?" Zana asked and I nodded.

"He's a fine specimen of a broken restraint and determination. Something I never had...." I said, if I had Takemichi's strength...maybe things could of been better. I wouldn't of been so pathetic and accept my fate.

"....So noisy..." Mikey hook punched Takemichi sending him flying and Kicked Chifuyu who tried to help him away. San-chan was smiling, knowing Mikey was giving into the darkness.

"There they are...the dark impulses. I've been waiting for this Mikey..this moment..." I facepalmed at San-chan. Don't bother Mikey in this stage ahhh...too late Mikey kicked San-chan down.

"Sanzu? Whats up Mikey he's on your side no?" Hanma asked perplexed.

"And?" Mikey growled, using his enhanced fighting abilities Zana and I watched Mikey single handedly beat everyone in Toman up and any Kanto Manji members getting in the way. This was the usual though, I would lure gangs out with Koko and then Mikey or Zana would annihilate the entirety of them. Fighting alone so that they don't need to care about Allies.

Mikey POV (First Meeting Ai and Izana)

It was the battle with Tenjiku....I first actually met those two. Izana hated me but I wanted to save him. He was strong, mentally weak like me.

Arriving on the field and greeting Takemichi something in my entire being told me to run...the dark impulses too. My eyes darted around locking in with Ruby red ones.

A girl? Why was a girl here? Was she fighting too?! Before I realized she beat Kenchin with brute strength..even I didn't stand a chance against her.

I never landed a hit...and she would come back like nothing happened.

But then...she got shot...so she can die? But she protected Izana...I see...she was Izana's girl.

Izana loves her so much, I can tell.

Izana and Ai stood across from me. Ai was sitting with her legs crossed and Izana too, we met up after the fight on a rooftop.

"So...what do you need Manjiro?" Izana asked me. Again I felt the girls piercing red eyes burrowing into my soul. The dark impulsed I could never control were nowhere nearby to control me. She was evaluating me...

"Izana....I'll come to you sometime in the future...You and Ai...would the two of you be willing to help me." I asked. Izana's eyes were softer now when he looked at me he chuckled.

"A pain in the ass....but you are family....I'll help you out Manjiro just say it when you need it." Izana said standing up Ai joined at his side.

"If Izana is fine with it I am too. But keep in mind..before you get us to fight for you Mikey. We are not human." She said. I knew they were not human...Izana looked different too. Well who cares...making deals with the devil didn't sound so bad. My thoughts were cut off by Izana ruffling my hair.

"Don't stress yourself out too much Manjiro."

They are strong...stronger than me now. Ai can control these impulses of mine...maybe even if I go down this path of carnage. A part of me can live on with them....because otherwise..I might just go insane.
