Chapter 1: New Family?

Timeskip of one Year
Izana is now 10 years old
Ai is 9

Ai POV

It was the afternoon, I just finished my daily examination. Today the doctor was ruthless my body hurts everywhere.

"I hate needles..." I muttered, I learned this feeling of bad energy was dislike or hate. Just like how Izana felt when he saw my injuries.

I sighed rubbing my arms, some of my older scars were fading thanks to Izana's help in the past year. That doesn't mean it still didn't hurt, one time my entire foot fell off of my body causing the director to bring me back to the basement. The doctor said that it was just a side effect. Luckily Izana bought it when I said that I got sick from the medicine dosage and left me alone that day.

"Oh there she is! Ai! Over here!" I looked up seeing Izana smiling and waving at me from the usual alleyway we hang out in. I couldn't help but start rushing over to see what he wanted.

Turning the corner beside Izana I saw a shorter child maybe around 6 years old. What caught my eye though was that he had black hair just like me and one red eye. The other I assumed was blind due to the scar running across his face. The boy shifted under my gaze.

"This is Kakucho the new kid! My new buddy. Kakucho this is Ai!" Izana said introducing us. I noticed Kakucho looking at my arm. I didn't roll down my sleeves so he was probably looking at my scars.

"Hello. Looks like we match.." I said attempting to make a conversation with the boy. He seemed to relax a bit.

"What happened to you?" He asked me.

"Probably the same thing that happened to you. I'm Ai Enma Ai. It's nice to meet you Kakucho." I said kneeling down I held a hand out. Kakucho shook my hand he was still frowning at my scars. "I'm strong so don't worry."

"Ai......Ai-nee..." He muttered I was taken aback by that comment and he panicked. "Oh sorry...it's just you gave me that vibe...and..." Kakucho rambled making me chuckle.

"Okay then you're my little brother now Cho-kun!" I said and he blushed. I got up looking at Izana. "Izana can I..."

"Oh I forgot! Yeah drink up." Izana held out his arm to me and Kakucho watched us confused. I pushed Izana to sit down and Knelt in front of him. Licking his arm before biting down. Kakucho gasped seeing me do this.

"Y-your a vampire?" He said in shock.

"Yep, cool right! She's also pretty strong!" Izana bragged as I continued drinking from his arm.

"Woah...yeah! That's super cool!" Kakucho said watching me now intently. I felt weird so I stopped drinking from Izana's arm and licked the wound. Izana taped up his arm and wiped my mouth. "Will he turn into a vampire if you bite him? Can you bite me too?" Kakucho asked.

"Um I don't think so, He hasn't yet and Izana is just helping me recover..." I was cut off by Izana hugging me from behind.

"No. She only drinks from me." He said pouting and Kakucho plopped onto his butt.

"Oh I see....."

Kakucho warmed up to Izana and I pretty quickly in the next few months.

"It's snowing!!!" Izana and Kakucho ran outside in their winter coats to the courtyard. I on the other hand just sat my ass down in the snow drawing on it.

"Thwack"

"Whack!"

The two of them were laughing as they threw snow at one another.

"No fair Izana! Didn't we agree that over the line is my territory!!" Kakucho whined and Izana smirked back at him.

"Idiot!! Promises are meant to be broken!" Izana retorted I sighed at their idiocy. Packing snow into balls I started making miniature snowmen. My body was hurting from the examination earlier again so I was having a hard time moving.
