Author POV
After coming to her decision to leave and learn more about her vampiric nature and the history of her kind Ai solemnly says her goodbye to Kakucho.
"Nee-san, Izana said you needed to talk?" Kakucho asked opening the door to his apartment letting the petite girl inside. Ai sat on Kakucho's bench press since he didn't have a bed while Kakucho brewed up some tea for the two of them.
"Yeah...thanks Kakucho." She said softly as Kakucho handed her the tea. Kakucho stiffened when Ai called him by name and not his nickname. He kneeled down ready to listen. "I'm going to be leaving you and Izana for two years....Izana already knows. I met an older vampire the other day and with her I'm going to learn more about my own kind and our history."
Kakucho's jaw dropped so she was here to say goodbye for now. He frowned. "It'll be lonely.."
"Cho-kun...." Ai slipped down from the bench and hugged him wrapping her arms around the younger but larger boy. "I'll miss you, little brother." Kakucho held her gently, this would actually be the first time Ai and him would be apart. They were always together, she protected him from bullies and taught him how to not give a shit. Being side by side was natural for him, ever since the day he met her.
"I understand...just...come back safe okay..." Kakucho said softly and Ai removed herself from him.
"I will, take care of Izana while I'm away. I'll call you two as often as I can. Izana bought me a new phone so." Ai smiled and Kakucho bit his lips. It was no use he couldn't be his tough persona in front of her. She was his big sister, she always will be.
"Sniff...Nee-san.."
"Aw...you big baby.. come here." Kakucho hugged Ai this time with her patting his back. "I'll come back, I promise."
There was no need for Izana to say much to the black dragons he left to Shion. Shion grew an immense respect for Ai and said something along the lines of.
"I see Ai-san is going to leave for a bit...well when she's back we'll be the strongest."
Ran, Rindo and the others didn't know the girl well, but paid their respects to telling her goodbye. They appreciated her since Izana was more gentle and cared less about their blunders whenever she was around.
After sharing one final night with Izana, Ai got up early the next morning feeling the older Vampire nearby.
"So you made a decision?" Shalltear asked appearing in front of Ai once more.
"Yeah, I'll go with you." Ai said and Shalltear smiled. Her eyes shifted to behind Ai so she looked back seeing Izana at the doorway.
"Izana..." Ai muttered dropping her bag she ran over to him. Shalltear sighed teleporting Ai's bag away.
"Ai...I'll miss you...come back to me okay..." Izana said letting tears fall out of his eyes as he embraced Ai tightly.
"I will, I promise." Ai said the two parted looking into each other's eyes they kissed goodbye and with that....Ai left with her new mentor....

(Not writing a training arc because....y'all ain't here for that, but here's what happened.)
Ai was taken to Russia by Shalltear and during her stay there Shalltear taught her about different spells Vampires can use along with how to utilize their enhanced sensory systems. These were the basics that all vampires learn at the age of 5.
Shalltear then went to explain the history of their kind through the years once Ai had the basics down. Vampires were nearly hunted to extinction during the witch trials and only a few remained to this day. Ai's parents were the only vampire family left in Japan. In the grand total there was only 7 living vampires left including her and Shalltear. They all knew one another in the case one perished or had a child.
