3rd person pov:
As Touya stands up. Keigo fetches him a clean outfit.
Kei:"If you hurry. The water might still be warm."
Tou:"On it."
Touya straps right there. Causing Keigo to look away.
Tou:"What's wrong? We have the same parts."
Kei:" i..... I'm just giving you privacy."
Touya's smile fades and he heads for the bath. Keigo follows but keeps his head down. Once in the water. The warrior shows his back to his master.
Tou:"idiot."^I've known for awhile now. Yet I haven't said anything because I've been waiting on him to tell me. So today, I'm gonna force him to talk.^
Touya smirks and uses a stick to male a loud pop sound when he hits it on the house. Then he pretends that his scream was quieted by an attacker.
When the warrior turns to draw his blade. He's greeted by his master grinning ear to ear. Then with a quick grab. Touya pulls him in close.
Tou:"Got you. "
As touya moves in for a kiss. Keigo pushes touya away.
Kei:"Master, I'm sorry."
Tou:"What's the harm in letting your heart be free? I know you have the same feelings as I do. So why won't you show m-"
Kei:"I can't be destracted by such things as lust or desire."^No that's wrong.^"If I have only one desire. It would be to stay by your side, and protect you. I can't afford to let my feelings run away with me. It would dull my instincts to fight. Making me weak. You only deserve the best sword by your side."
Keigo bows to his master.
Tou:"So you'd show your love if in battle?"
Kei:"I'd give my life for you if you ask it of me."
Touya glares down at him and uses the stick to lift Keigo's chin up.
Tou:"Would you kill yourself for me if I asked you?"
Keigo's eyes shimmer as he faces his master's gaze. The samuri then reaches for the smaller blade on his side.
Kei:"If it is what you want. I'll do it."
With a heavy sigh. Touya uses the stick to smack Keigo hand away from the weapon.
Tou:"Idiot."
Touya turns his back and continues to wash off.
Tou:"The world be be less bring without you in it. I don't plan on sharing you with the gods."
Keigo smiles and bows once more before standing up to help his master.
After helping touya get dressed. They head to enji's wing of the castle. Once there, touya speaks before given permission to enter. Then keigo opens the doors for him.
Once they both enter. The warrior closes the door and bows before the Shogun's presence.
Tou:"You asked for me father?"
Enji:"Your marriage will be set for spring. Since it is summer. That gives you time to understand your position as the eldest son, and future head of the family.
Tou:"With all due respect. I'm not fit to be the head of the family. I wish to be free to choose my own path in life-"
Enji:"You'll get married and have a son. I won't tolerate another word from you about doing any different. You were born into this life with a purpose. Now serve it."
Tou:"But father i can't! You see, I'm not......."
Enji:"I know all about your affliction. So let me say this in a way you'll understand. Have a child or I'll have your pet there killed for being a distraction."
Tou:"He's not a pet! He's the only person I can trust!"
Enji stands up and moves the fabric that divided them. When touya looks up to face his father. He's backhanded with enough force to knock him over.
Keigo grits his teeth in anger but knows he can't do anything about it.
Enji:"One more word out of you and I'll make you wish you hadn't."
Touya lowers his head in anger and stays quiet.
Enji:"I picked you a strong bride to make up for your weakness. Now get out of my sight."
Touya stands up and storms out.
Kei:"Please forgive my master. He's young and foolish. Just like we all were at one point in life. After all. The young can only dream of what's to come. For they haven't truly lived yet. I'm sure he'll see it your way."
As Keigo turns to leave. Enji addresses the warrior.
Enji:"A loyal dog that knows who his true master is will know happiness in time. Stay true to your vows and never give in to your heart. It'll protect you both."
Kei:"Yes sir."
Keigo leaves to get back to Touya's side. Once out of the room. Enji throws a bowl in anger at what his son just did.
Tou:"I need to relax. Let's go into town for a drink."
Kei:"Shouldn't you use the time given to prepare for the wedding?"
Tou:"I refuse to follow his orders. With is why we're about to run away together."
Keigo stops walking. Causing touya to turn around.
Kei:"It is you that is an idiot. He has eyes everywhere. We would be discovered. Then......... I'd lose you forever."
Keigo imagines himself being killed infornt of his master. Touya's tears filling his soul with regret and anger because he couldn't save touya from his fate of marriage. Darkness of death taking away the smile he cherishes most from him.
Kei:"Please reconsider."
Keigo's head lowers. Only for touya to grasp his chin and tilt it up. That's when he sees for the first time. Tears twinkling from those golden eyes.
Tou:"What can we do then?"
Kei:"obey until you become the shogun. Then you'll make the laws. Only by waiting will we find the key to free ourselve-"
Touya kisses Keigo on the lips to shut him up. Once he pulls away. Keigo turns beet red.
Tou:"Now I know how to get you to stop crying."
Keigo storms ahead of his master.
Kei:"Let's go get that drink already."
With a chuckle. Touya follows his samuri into town.
Tou:"Lead the way."
