Vivian is a very shy and awkward 13-year-old who honestly probably needs therapy for her sister's disappearance but instead she doesn't and hatches a plan to find her, optimistic about her sister being safe and sound after being missing for almost 14 years(she went missing while Vivian was still in their mom's womb.)
She may not be very strong or vocal but she is very observant and tech smart, she really took after her sister with her interest in robotics and programming.
Vivian grew up with her mom and dad, while her dad was technically a Louisiana born and raised gentleman, her mom was a very protective and badass Latina wrestler. Their household mostly spoke Spanish and Vivian was homeschooled because her sister's disappearance caused a lot of attention to their family and her parents didn't want her bothered by it at school.
Due to this, Vivian isn't very fluent in English. She can speak it but it's basic and she often forgets or doesn't know words. This causes a lot of frustration for her as other kids make fun of her and she feels bad for not being able to. Often this frustration is let out by Vivian forcing herself to sit with a dictionary and thesaurus memorizing every English word she can. Doesn't work very well and she still uses a lot of Spanish but she is trying.
Vivian is a very well mannered girl. Her father didn't raise no rude lady after all. But she will cuss you out in Spanish if you somehow piss her off or she's really frustrated.
Vivian is determined to find out what happened to her sister and managed to convince her parents to let her have her thirteenth birthday party at the pizzaplex, where she and her cousin managed to convince them she went home early with her aunt so Vivian could hide and stay after hours.
She's mainly the story/AU's kinda central protag, despite not being the main focus. She's very determined that her sister is safe and sound and refuses to take any other answer.
