When I was little we had a house in Australia but I wasn't there since my mom died. My grandparents live in Australia too but they are really old. And now when we have Australian GP I decided to have a look there. It has been 6 years.

The night Max won Saudi Arabia GP I took the first plane to Australia.

I thought about that I should leave. This house held memories.

When I entered the house I had weird feeling. All my childhood memories had came back. When I looked at the stairs I laughed. When I was 8 I slipped on the stairs and broke my arm. In this living room I made my first steps.

This house was messy and I wanted it to get it cleaned before I came back from my grandparents house which was on Tuesday. So I hired a cleaning company and left. I haven't seen my grandparents in 2 years and they didn't even know that I would come. I stopped to buy some cakes in the confectionery.

I entered the house they always had a spare key under the door mat. I heard voices till I came to living room.

"Amber! What are you doing here?!"

"Grandpa!! I came to see you!"

We hugged and I could say we cried but not because we were sad those were tears of joy.

"Where is grandma?"

"Darling, she isn't with us anymore."

"Are you serious? Tell me you are joking!"

"Amber, I'm sorry."

What a happy moment it was.

"But when?"

" It's going to be 1 years in 3 months. She was really sick and she didn't want you to know. You were so stressed with school."

"Why didn't you tell me! I could came! To be by your side to be at her funeral."

"I'm so sorry darling."

"It's going to be okay" I wiped tears from my face "I have brought some cakes also there is one she liked." I tried to smile.

"Come and sit, you are not going to stand there."

We chatted a bit about me and him.

"Where are you staying darling?"

"I hired a company to clean mom's old house that she bought here do you remember?"

"Yees! I remember that one you used to play with Lando! Ah I totally forgot about Lando are you still in contact ?"

"Yeah you must forgot because we do not talk now, I kinda got job in Formula 1 and we bumped into each other and when we tried to talk about things it didn't end well and we were supposed to have dinner but he didn't show up and when I knocked on his door a girl opened the door so I know that this friendship we had isn't worth of wasting my time fixing it."

"I'm so sorry to hear that."

"It's okay, now I am an Max Verstappen's engineer ."

" I haven't heard of that sport for like a century!! You have to show me!"

"Actually, there is going to be a race this weekend. I can arrange you a paddock pass!"

"Darling I would be so happy to see you work! That would be awesome."

"That's sorted then but I have to warn you. The man who calls himself a father is going to be there."

"Then I have to bear him."

"And also you'll see Lando there. He is a F1 driver."

"That's awesome!! Amber would you like to stay here? One night."

"That was kinda my plan. I just wanted to ask you."

"You haven't changed a lot since I last saw you."

"I'm happy I could see you, even that grandma isn't here with us anymore. Not even mom." (Just to make it clear amber's mother is from Australia and those are her mothers parents.)

We said good night to each other and went to bed. I was sleeping in my mom's old room.

The next morning I had breakfast and we chatted little bit before I left to the house. It was cleaned and shiny here. I unpacked my things and got to the supermarket because there wasn't food in here. I bought some simple things I'm going to be here only for a week but I promise to myselft that my grandpa Daniel is the only real family I have left so I should visit him more often.

I stopped at the graveyard that my grandma was burried. I put some flowers on the stone. But it was getting late so I went back to my house.
