Ramin was driving down the quiet road when he glanced over at Janan. She had fallen asleep, her face serene in the dim light. A soft smile tugged at his lips as he whispered to himself, "This is going to be an unforgettable night." He pulled the car over to a safe spot, not wanting to disturb her rest. Quietly, he took off his jacket and carefully draped it over her, his eyes lingering on her peaceful face. As he gazed at her closed eyes, his attention was drawn to her lips. He swallowed hard, closing his eyes to steady himself. "My pious princess, I can't even entertain such thoughts," he murmured. When he opened his eyes again, he rested his head against the seat and simply watched her, completely captivated by her beauty.
The night slipped away as Ramin sat there, lost in admiration of Janan. Just before dawn, her phone buzzed, the alarm for Fajr ringing out. She stirred, rubbing her eyes as they fluttered open, only to find Ramin staring at her with a tender expression. "When did I fall asleep?" she asked, her voice still heavy with sleep.
"On the way to your home," Ramin replied gently.
Janan sighed softly. "You could have woken me up, you know."
"You looked so peaceful, like an angel. How could I wake you?" Ramin said with a playful pout.
Janan let out a small laugh, then facepalmed. "You're driving me crazy, you know that?"
Ramin chuckled warmly. "Don't tell me you stayed up all night," Janan said, a hint of concern in her voice.
Ramin looked down at his lap, his voice soft. "I had to, for your safety."
Janan licked her lips and nodded. "Alright, let's get going. Drop me home."
Ramin looked at her, a smile playing on his lips. "But first, how about we grab some coffee? Please, don't say no."
Janan's eyes softened. "I'd prefer tea."
Ramin's smile widened. "As my princess wishes."
Janan faked a laugh. "Copying my words now, huh?"
Ramin opened the car door, grinning. "I have the right."
Janan twisted her lips playfully and mimicked him, "I have the right."
Ramin's laughter echoed in the quiet morning air as he walked away to get tea.
As she waited for him in the car, Janan noticed Ramin's jacket draped over her. She smiled to herself, breathing in his scent before hugging it close. When Ramin returned, he was holding two cups of tea, handing one to her with a gentle smile.
Janan took a sip and looked out the window. Her eyes widened in surprise. "Min, it's the sea!"
Ramin's smile deepened. "I know you love the ocean."
"I do," she said, her voice full of awe.
She opened the car door, stepping out into the fresh morning air, with Ramin close behind. Together, they stood, watching the sunrise paint the sky in hues of orange and pink. "It's so beautiful, Min," Janan whispered, her eyes reflecting the sunrise.
"Indeed," Ramin replied, though his gaze was fixed on her. Janan felt a blush creep up her cheeks as he added, "Look at that red tint-how beautiful."
Janan quickly turned her attention back to the sunrise, trying to steady her racing heart. Suddenly, Ramin's voice broke the silence. "Princess, you haven't prayed yet."
Janan glanced at him, her voice soft. "I'm on leave."
"What does that mean?" he asked, his tone innocent and curious.
