"The soul of mine misses yours and I
can't do nothing but, wait."

brushing a little she and looked away, Ramin gulped down the saliva and left while Janan remained looking at his back figure, "You'll be missed by me, Love" she muttered.

. . .

The days apart stretched into what felt like an eternity for Ramin and Janan. Ramin was away for work, far from the city, while Janan threw herself into her demanding hospital duties. Not a single second passed without thoughts of each other flooding their hearts.

It was midnight, and Janan found herself unable to sleep, her thoughts restless. She stepped out onto the balcony of her quiet home, the cool night air brushing against her skin as she settled into the chair. The sky above was painted with a thousand stars, but her eyes sought one in particular. "You're like Sirius," she whispered, her gaze locking onto the brightest star. "You're the brightest star in my universe." Her voice trembled as she spoke the words, her heart heavy with longing.

Closing her eyes, she allowed the cool breeze to caress her face, imagining for a fleeting moment that this same breeze might have touched Ramin wherever he was. "I hope it’s the same breeze that has touched your face," she murmured, her fingers brushing over her cheeks as though trying to capture the feeling of his presence. She stayed like that for hours, sitting in the stillness of the night, thinking, praying, wishing. Her love for Ramin filled every inch of her being, so palpable that even the vastness of the night sky couldn’t contain it.

Meanwhile, in a hotel room far away, Ramin stood on his balcony, gazing out at the unfamiliar city below. His heart ached with the weight of the distance between him and Janan. Tears slipped down his face as he spoke into the night. "I miss you, my Jan." His voice cracked, breaking under the pressure of his emotions.

The breeze touched his face, and a shiver ran down his spine. His thoughts mirrored Janan’s as he whispered, "Everything reminds me of you, Jan—the breeze, the rain, the sky, the birds, the flowers… Nature reminds me of you, my love." His breath hitched as fresh tears welled up in his eyes. He wiped them away with the back of his hand, but it was futile—more tears followed, unchecked.

Unable to stand the solitude any longer, Ramin retreated to his room and collapsed onto the mattress, curling into himself as if trying to shield his heart from the pain. Hugging his knees to his chest, he sobbed uncontrollably. "It’s been thirteen days, Jan," he cried into the empty room, his voice filled with desperation. "I can’t survive any longer without you." A heavy sob tore from his throat, and he sat up abruptly, wiping his tear-streaked face. His mind was racing, his heart pounding with a need so strong it consumed him. He couldn't wait any longer.

Without thinking, he grabbed his car keys and hurried out of the room. "I can’t take this much longer," he muttered to himself as he raced down the stairs and into the parking lot. "I’ll die without her." His voice was strained, full of agony. He threw himself into the driver's seat and started the engine. The car roared to life, and with one final, determined breath, Ramin sped off, pushing the car to its limits. He was two hundred kilometers away from the city, but that didn’t matter. He had to see her.

His hands gripped the steering wheel tightly, knuckles white as he whispered, "Your Ramin is going crazy without you, love." The speedometer climbed as the car raced through the empty highways, the night blurring around him. Every kilometer brought him closer to her, yet it still felt unbearably far.

Three hours later, Ramin found himself standing outside Janan’s house, his heart pounding in his chest. His eyes scanned the balcony, hoping, praying for just one glimpse of her. His heart ached with every passing second. Tears welled up in his eyes, and he was about to turn back to his car, defeated, when suddenly, he saw movement. There she was.
