Just a dream

Demi POV

   I thought it was just a dream. When Lucas invited me over to his house last night. I knew it wasn't when I woke up to a text from him. A text he sent a 3am.

Lucas: You have a key. Come by whenever

I read as i had just finished getting ready. I looked around and saw an unfamiliar key on my desk by my computer. That had to be his. I quickly put it in my front jeans pocket as Aiden started to wake up. Once I got him ready for the day we headed downstairs. Where Chef Sabrina was making breakfast.

"Good morning Chef" I said as Aiden ran in and immediately went for his toys.

"Good morning Demi" She responded.

"Is anyone up" I asked

"I haven't seen anyone" She said. I looked at the time on my watch and it was just a little after 9am.

"Okay, I have a phone interview. I'll be back" I said and headed out the door. Luckily Aiden followed me.

I headed up to Joe room so he can watch Aiden while I do my interview.

"Joe" I knocked on his door. I didn't wanna walk in. "Joe" I knocked again but he wasn't answering the door. I didn't even hear movement on the other side. "Joe" I said again as I opened the door this time. Losing patience.

No wonder he didn't open the door. He was passed out in bed. "Joseph" I said a little louder as I through a pillow at him that was on the floor by his bed.

"Go away" Joe said as he covered his head with the pillow I through at him. Sounds like he is hung over.

"I need you to watch Aiden. I have a phone interview in 3 minutes" I said as I saw his tv remote on his bedside dresser. I turned the tv on for Aiden. I didn't wait for a reply from Joe. I walked out of the room, leaving Aiden with Joe as I closed the bedroom door so Aiden didn't go wondering the house alone. I headed back upstairs to my room just in time as my phone rang.

The interview was only 20. When I got off the phone i headed downstairs to the kitchen. Where again it was only Sabrina. I rolled my eyes because I knew Joe was still in bed.

I headed up to his room and this time I didn't knock. I just headed in. And sure enough Joe was snoring in bed while Aiden was messing with his stuff.

"Joseph" I said loudly making him wake up.

"I need you to watch him today" I said

"I am, he's fine" Joe said and turned over hugging a pillow so he can fall back to sleep.

"We'll be downstairs. You got 15 minutes to get up before I leave" I said and headed out of the room with Aiden on my hip.

When Aiden and I got to the kitchen. Sabrina was serving Aiden and I plate. "Thanks" I said before Aiden and I began to eat. 20 minutes passed and Joe was still not down.

"I swear one day im gonna kill your dad" I said to Aiden. I knew he didn't understand what I was saying.

We had just finished eating and I took our plates to the sink. Sabrina left already. When Aiden and I got done. I took him out of his high chair and we headed back up to Joes room. The door was still open just how I left it and when I got to the door frame I can tell Joe was still asleep. Now im pissed.

"JOSEPH" I yelled louder "get up. I'm leaving Aiden with you. I gotta go" I said and gently placed Aiden on his bed so he can jump on all over him.

"And the next time you run into an ex of mine. Do not spend 4 hours talking to them about me" I said loudly because I was pissed Joe was still in bed hungover.
