Demi POV

The next morning I had an easier "morning routine" since Aiden is with Joe for the day again. Once I got myself ready I headed downstairs. It was quiet, but I did hear and could smell someone in the kitchen cooking. As I got closer I noticed it was Chef Sabrina. I did give her a key to the house.

"Good morning Chef" I said entering the room. Her back was to same as she was cooking at the stove

"Good morning" She responded

"Has anyone been down here" I asked looking around the kitchen and livingroom.

"Just Joe and Aiden. They are down at the beach." Sabrina said.

"Okay, can you just make sure Aiden gets feed. I'll be upst-" I began to say till. Nick walked in with Lucas right next to him.

"Lucas! What are you doing here?" I asked shocked

"Umm, sorry I didn't know your chef was here. I was just getting ready for work was about to have breakfast in my lonely apartment I just decided to why not have breakfast with you guys" Lucas said like if he was proud of himself as he looked at me then at Nick. I was appealed by his sob story.

"Lucas, you can come every morning as my guest for as long as I live here. If you bring these muffins all the time." Nick said and placed a try of different kinds of muffins on the island. Nick helped himself and got one.

I just rolled my eyes. At Nick of course.

"Mmh,... shouldn't be for that much longer" I said as I crossed my arms over my chest.

"Don't worry Lucas, Joe and I are looking for a place here in Malibu so we shouldn't be far if you wanted to have breakfast with us instead of with this downer. It should be Debbie Downer it should be Demi Downer" Nick said

"Whatever. Tell Layla I'll be in the car." I said as I headed towards the front door with my purse I had laying on the counter. I passed Lucas and Nick without even giving them a glance. I just got my phone out of my pocket and text Layla I was ready whenever she was. I did tell her yesterday if she wanted to tag along with me today too and since Joe had Aiden.

The car hadn't pulled up yet. I was outside waiting maybe 2 maybe 3 minutes before Lucas came out and shut the door behind him self as he walked down the three steps and came towards me.

"I called you last night" he said nervously as he put his hands in his pocket.

"Yea sorry I fell asleep" I said with my arms crossed and I tried not to face him because I didn't wanna look at his face when I do what I do best. Break his heart.

"Are you upset I'm hanging out with Joe and Nick? I know your not on good terms with them right now" Lucas said and I wanted to laugh

"No. I honestly don't care. They need friends. We..need friends outside of the industry" I said now I looked at him to see if he understood what I was talking about.

"We!" Lucas said as got the hint and kinda looked down at his shoes before looking at me. I hope I turned away quick enough that he didn't see me looking at him.... In uniform.

"I'm sorry. It is what I just need right now. I can't jump into another relationship. You know why Wilmer and I broke up. Im about to start tour. yes my 4 week tour then this late spring it's a world tour. I don't have time to date right now. Especially not with my best friend ex boyfriend." I said just when the car was pulling up

"Wow! ... Okay! So. You just wanna act like New Years didn't happened" Lucas said

"Yea. No one can know about that kiss. Maybe it was a mistake" I said as I went for the car door handle
