Cami nervously looked away, as if trying to decide something. I could see that she was wringing her hands in a repetitive manner, and she was biting down rather harshly on her lip, which had caused a small amount of blood to appear.

However, I had no intention of watching her act this way for eternity. I needed answers. We needed answers.

"Well?" I pressed on, fixing my gaze on her.

Leon was also getting impatient; I could tell by his clenched fists.

"Cami, you need to tell us the truth. It's for the good of Francesca, " he said.

Still, no movement came from Camila. What had caused her to behave in this way? Had I said something wrong? Unfortunately, with all these questions came very little time and we really needed to hurry up.

"Cami..." I moaned, coaxing her for a reply.

Looking down at her feet, she replied "No. I haven't heard from her."

Leon and I both nodded. I then proceeded to explain part of what had happened the night before, and took out Fran's cellphone.

"I found a woman lying on the street with this in her hand. Do you have any idea of how it could've happened?"

Cami now wore a frustrated expression on her face, and it seemed as though she was feeling annoyed at us. I could tell that she didn't enjoy being interrogated.

"No, ok? I haven't heard from her; those are my final words. Ask Ludmi or Diego if you want more information."

After having said this, she walked away and went to her bedroom, leaving Leon and I alone.

"What's up with her?" I asked.

Leon slowly turned around to look at me, as if thinking deeply about something.

"You don't suppose she could've lied to us, do you?" He asked, still in deep thought.

"Maybe... but why would she do that?"

Then it struck me.

"Maybe, just maybe, she was threatened as well? Think about it, it makes perfect sense! Her nervous behaviour, her slow response..." I excitedly exclaimed, voicing my theory to Leon.

It took him a few minutes to take in this information. When he did, he blessed me with one of his smiles which instantly made me feel more confident.
I knew that step by step, we were getting closer to finding Francesca (and a proper home for me).

"Of course!" He said. "Why didn't I think of it before?"

"Because you didn't, " I replied cheekily.

"Now, where should we look next?"

His smile faded.

"I was actually hoping for a break. Last night was pretty exhausting, don't you think?"

He then yawned, not bothering to politely cover up his mouth whilst doing so. Another sign of his exhaustion.

I didn't know what to say just then. I desperately wanted to continue our search. It was going well and I didn't want us to lose focus... I had a dilemma.

However, being the genius angel that I was, it took me no less than 30 seconds to come up with a plan.

"How about this: you stay here for a few hours, have a rest, find out what Cami and the others are up to and if they know anything about Fran's whereabouts. Whilst you are doing all of that, I will roam around town and try to obtain some information. Does that sound good?"

Leon nodded.

"Sounds good. But promise me one thing: that you won't get yourself in a muddle. It seems as if you've been attracted to trouble lately, for some strange reason, and I don't want something to happen to you."

I nodded and held out my hand.

"Of course, if that's what you want. I shall try."

He seemed satisfied and took my hand.

"Good. See you in a few hours, then. Call me if you find anything. "

I nodded once again.

"Bye."

"Bye."

He quickly planted a kiss on my cheek before ushering me out the door, somehow leaving me bedazzled at his touch.

Determined to stay focussed, I pushed the memory out of my wandering mind and descended the flight of stairs, silently praying for a miracle which would lead me to my angelic friend...
