León nodded in comprehension.

"I trust you, Violetta, " he said softly.

"Thanks, León. This means the world to me," I replied, giving him a genuine smile, full of gratitude.

We stood there, in the kitchen, not tearing our eyes apart from each other; we were lost in the moment. I hadn't even noticed that León had started leaning in towards me. He gently placed his right hand on my cheek, sending shivers through my skin, and brought his lips terribly close to mine. Somehow, I found myself slowly closing my eyes, ready for the fateful moment when we our lips would touch.
That moment never came.

We were startled by Naty's screams coming from the lounge.

"Are you two OK? It's been a while since you went to the kitchen to get a drink! " She shouted.

We quickly broke apart and let our hands drop to our sides again. I could feel my cheeks burning as I replied to Naty.

"Don't worry, everything's fine in here. We'll be right up! Give us 10 ninutes!"

She shouted "OK!" from the lounge.

"Come on, León. Let's make lemonade," I offered, fetching five ripe and brightly yellow lemons from the fruit bowl. I hoped that this would ease the tension between us, for now at least.

"Of course," he responded.

León and I took turns squeezing the lemon on the blender, laughing each time one of us messed up. We both ended up with lemon seeds and zest on our clothes, but I don't think either of us really minded. This was fun, and it took our minds off Francesca's disappearance for a while.

Once we had finished, I poured the lemonade into a crystal jug and León fetched some ice cubes from the freezer. One teaspoon of sugar and the drink was completed. I smiled at my companion.

"High five!"

We both slapped our hands together, feeling happy at the distraction that making the refreshment had given us.

I swiftly wiped off some juice stains which were on my tee-shirt with water and did the same to León's.

"Alrighty then, let's go and ask my dear old friend a few questions, shall we?" I asked when I had finished cleaning up.

"We shall," he answered, taking a tray in his hands while I placed three glasses on top.

After doing so, León and I made our way into the lounge, ready to obtain some long-awaited answers.

A/N: This was more of a filler-ish chapter because I didn't have the time to write a proper long chapter (I had an end of school year event to attend). I also wanted to include some Leonetta bonding time.
Hope you enjoyed :)
