malia's pov.

"Can you believe we won? That's crazy. There were so many good shows in this category and WE won it," Natalia said with so much excitement.

"Yeah, it's cool," I say.

I look out the window of car and think about how crazy this night has been. Right now, the Stranger Things cast is heading to an after party after the awards show. Our show had won two awards tonight and everyone was ecstatic. Winning the awards was fun and all but I'm more excited about the after party. That's the real fun part of this whole thing.

"Did you guys see some of the athletes there," Joe asked.

I turned my head to him and said, "Huh? What do you mean?"

"Tom Brady and LeBron James were there. You didn't see them?"

"No, what?! I would've loved to meet them. Who else did you see?"

"There was a lot more but I don't know if you'd know them... oh! You like baseball, right? Shohei Ohtani and Mike Trout were there."

"Wait, really? I definitely know how Trout is and I've heard a little bit on Ohtani."

"Yeah, I heard he's crazy good at pitching. His hitting is good too."

We continue on the conversation about Ohtani and some other baseball players. I didn't know Joe knew so much about baseball. If we're being honest, I don't really know a lot about baseball.
I know a good amount because I grew up in a "baseball family" but I can't go too deep into it.

Joe is still talking when I notice that we have arrived to the party. I love Joe and all but I can not keep up with the baseball talk.

"Oh! We're here."

Everyone steps out of the car one by one. I finally get out of the car and instantly I'm met with bright flashes all around. Paparazzi. Great...

"Paparazzi were quick to get here," I whisper to myself.

We walk into the building where the party was being held and I tried to keep my eyes covered from the flash as much as possible. At first I didn't really mind the paparazzi but lately they've been getting on my nerves. I swear, all these flashes are gonna make me go blind.

When we get in, someone guides us to the room where the party is. A bunch of people were already here and everything seems to be pretty fun. There were colorful lights, music was playing, and you could tell everyone was having a good time.

We found a table that fit a majority of us but we were still missing two chairs. Finn had stood up from his seat to get more but I offered to get them instead. I was already standing so I might as well.

I look around for a table with empty chairs to see if I can borrow them. I see a table where there are a couple seats but I don't recognize the people sitting there and it also doesn't help that it's dark in the room. I figured the closer I got maybe I would know who they are.
