I head over to the bathroom with Blair at my side. I hear the dry heaving and the voices of girls consoling Layla.

"Don't stress about her. She's a fucking idiot that clearly likes to stir drama up," Darcy says.

"Look, I'm sorry. I didn't tell Cassidy to say anything. I honestly didn't know she was going to say all that," Julie's voice trembles.

I see that Layla is hunched over the toilet while Darcy rubs her back. Julie is standing just outside of the stall, her face filled with worry.

"Is she okay?" Blair asks.

Darcy looks at us and shakes her head. "I think it's the nausea. She needs something for it. Try to find a pharmacy or something around here."

"I'll go and see what I can find," I say.

"I'll go with you," Julie chimes.

I look at her and nod. We both leave the restroom, venturing out to our next side mission. I could tell Julie was feeling guilt by the way her eyes zoomed across all the stores and picked up the pace when she walked.

"Julie, slow down!" I called behind her, "Hold up!"

Julie abruptly stops and turns to look at me. There's tears welled up in her eyes threatening to spill. "Sorry. I'm sorry," she sobs.

A couple people give us weird looks and I have to mean mug them to turn away as I put an arm around Julie. I usher her away from the busy path and we sit down near a bench at some ice cream store.

"Why are you apologizing?" I ask.

"I was still mad and hurt over the whole Landon and Layla situation, so when Cassidy asked about my past when we first moved here, I just spilled everything to her. I think she thought that I was still angry and wanted to tell them both off," she says, wiping the tears off her face.

"I get it. I really do," I say, "But Cassidy doesn't really have a say in the situation. I think she should just stay in her lane and not speak about what she hasn't seen or heard personally."

"I told her I was over it, really. If I wasn't I wouldn't have let Dorian in. Dorian understands me. He accepted me with all of my flaws," she says, a smile starting to grow on her lips. "He knows every little detail about my life. I never once changed a detail in the story when I told him what happened. I was honest with him."

"I believe you. I do, but I think you need to talk to both of them. Layla must think you hate her and the future that they will have together."

She nods, taking in my words. "I'll talk to her tomorrow. I don't think she'll feel good enough to hold a conversation. Landon will be too focused on staying by her side to even listen to me too."

"Yeah, don't rush it," I offer her a small smile, "Just know that I don't see you as some kind of villain. We're all adults here and we're well past the high school mindset. I guess some of us," I chuckle. This causes Julie to let out a small laugh of her own. "Come on, we should get that nausea medication before Layla gets even more sick."
