Raindrops keep falling on my head

To be a good surgeon you have to think like a surgeon. Emotions are messy. Tuck them neatly away and step into a clean sterile room where the procedure is simple. Cut, suture, and close. But sometimes you're faced with a cut that won't heal. A cut that rips its stitches wide open. They say that practice makes perfect. Theory is– the more you think like a surgeon, the more you become one, the better you get at remaining neutral, clinical, cut, suture, close - the harder it becomes to turn it off. To stop thinking like a surgeon, and remember what it means to think like a human being.

- Meredith Grey

Meredith was in Joe'a bar which was across the street. She was having some tequila shots while drowning in her sorrow.

„You look familiar." Joe the bartender stats as he pours her another drink.

„I've been here before." she thinks back to the night where she met Derek.

„That worked out really well." she adds sarcastically.

„I've seen it all. It is either your boyfriend or your boss."

To Meredith's luck its both. And on top of that he has a wife, a gorgeous, tall, New Yorker wife.

Joe, who owns the bar gives her a free shot. He felt bad for the girl.

"What are you doing in Seattle?" Derek was mad, the woman who cheated on him was now here ruining the relationship he had with a person he truly likes.

"You look different." Addison nots. "Especially the hair, very Russell Crowe." She adds.

Sera was standing behind. She waited for Addison to finish this conversation. If you can call it that.

"A lot of things are different." Derek then adds and asks her again, what she's doing here.

"What are you doing here? Leaving everything. The house, the practice, your friends, your entire life in manhattan." Addison didn't thought he would seriously go away but when he didn't call back she knew.

Seraphina also didn't thought Derek would do something like this. He isn't the impulsive type of guy, well the old Derek wasn't.

Addison then brings up the fact that he has a girlfriend now and that she's sweet, young and in awe of Derek. She finds it absurd.

He was an attending, an amazing brain surgeon and she was an intern. He was her boss's boss.

"You were really going for an anti-Addison huh?"

Meredith was really not like Addison. Meredith was just different—but in a good way.

"You can forget to try to win me back. And I thought you were in France?" He was referring to his little sister. He hadn't seen her in a long time.

"Relax." Addison tried to calm him down. "We're here for work, Sera is my fellow." Richard didn't want Derek to know that his wife—who cheated on him— was in Seattle.

Addi is about to leave.

"The hair, though. You know I've always had a thing for Russell Crowe." She leans in and smirks.

She leaves with a satisfied expression on her face.

Now it was Sera's turn to speak to Derek.

"I'm sorry, I should've called you." She apologises. Her sisters had taken it good in. She wasn't so sure about Derek though. He always acted like her father. And sera never needed that. She didn't asks for it.
