In general, people can be categorized in one of two ways — those who love surprises and those who don't. I don't. I've never met a surgeon that enjoys a surprise, because as surgeons, we like to be in the know. We have to be in the know, because when we aren't, people die and lawsuits happen. Am I rambling? I think I'm rambling. Okay, so my point, actually, and I do have one, has nothing to do with surprises or death or lawsuits, or even surgeons. My point is this: whoever said "What you don't know can't hurt you", was a complete and total moron. Because for most people I know, not knowing is the worst feeling in the world. Okay, fine. Maybe it's the second worst. As surgeons, there are so many things we have to know. We have to know we have what it takes. We have to know how to take care of our patients... and how to take care of each other. Eventually, we even have to figure out how to take care of ourselves. As surgeons we have to be in the know. But as human beings, sometimes it's better to stay in the dark, because in the dark there may be fear, but there's also hope.

It was the end of Sera's shift. The young woman was walking into the elevator, already dressed in something different than the blue scrubs.
Usually Sera would be glad to finally get some sleep after a long shift but this time she wasn't.
She had seen Nick and the nurse again. This time they weren't wearing their work clothes but a dress and a suit. It seemed like they were going out in a fancy restaurant. Sera had caught the name of the woman—Louisa Taylor. A nurse at the neuro wing.
The elevator doors open and Alex Karev walks in.
„Are you about to cry?" He asks. She seemed to look sad.
„What?" Seraphina did indeed cry about it earlier but now she just wants to move on like he did. To forget him and the pain he brought.
„You look sad." he stats. Karev isn't someone that usually talks about feelings, not about his or others. But Sera seemed like a genuinely good person. Also she was the only person who was nice at him from the start.
„Do you think Louisa Taylor, the nurse at Neuro is hot?"
„Well yes, she's really hot. I'd do it. Why?"
„Doesn't matter." Alex rolls his eyes. „Dude, just tell me. Is this about Doctor Olsen?"
„How do you know about him?"
„He's going out with her, I actually asked her out two weeks ago but that dude was faster. Maybe I should go into neuro. They get all the girls."
„I think peds is more for you but that's not the topic."
"You know if you want a distraction I can help you with that." Alex offered.
"Ew no!" Sera pulls a disgusted face. Stepping away from him.
