The battle was just like the last one. The man had Cole pinned on the ground with his sword just above Cole's throat. The man is once again threatening both of their lives. King Kendrick stands back watching this all happen and Viviana can't believe he isn't doing anything. He has moved away from the door though. Viviana only notices this because more people enter the room.
The man pinning Cole to the ground seems to know these people. Viviana realizes that they are working with him because they pull out swords and start attacking trying to attack them. The king pulls out a sword of his own just as Cole manages to escape from the man's grasp. He gets up and takes his sword, swings it and chops the man in half.
Viviana stands there horrified. She doesn't know how to react. If Cole hadn't killed the man, he would've been killed. That's still a possibility.
Viviana looks around for any weapon that she might be able to use. She finds a sword. She runs up and pulls it out of it's holder. She stands back to back with Cole. The two of them work to fend off the people who we're working with the guy Cole just killed.
Viviana swings her sword wildly as she has never held one before. She manages to hit multiple people with it causing them to fall to he ground. The people she hit were bleeding on the floor trying to understand how a woman can fight well enough to not get murdered immediately.
She and Cole stood their ground. Viviana pierces someone through the heart and they instantly die. She tries not to pass out from the gory scene around her and stays standing, fighting the other man trying to kill her and Cole. The two of them fight every single one of them until there is just one person left alive.
The man does not cower against the people who just killed every single defense he had. He stands laughing. He has no weapon to fight them with. The man walks towards them. He keeps a distance. He puts his hand up and swings it at them. At that moment, things start flying across the room at them. A blue light flashes from the man's hand as he swings it.
He faces the two of them who dodged the objects flying at them. He seems to be armed with more than just hand to hand combat. He has magic power that Viv hasn't seen in her entire lifetime. The room turns a dark blue and Cole grabs onto Viviana to make sure she stays close. She feels a jolt at his touch. But she ignores it. She has to focus right now. Pay attention to this stranger who seems to be able to destroy them with one swish of his hand.
Nobody moves or says a word. It is as if everything is on pause. Viviana looks over at Cole and it seems he knows exactly who this man is. She stays close to Cole. She does not want to have to be on her own in this.
The man steps into the light. Viviana can see that he is wearing all black and his face is covered by ebony cloth. Cole doesn't flinch or anything, it seems he knows that anything he does could show weakness or something that this man could use to hurt him or Viv.
The man walks towards them and holds both his hands up. His hands start to glow a dark shade of blue. The color surrounds his hands and seems almost electric. The more this man moves, the more Viv starts to cower. She holds onto Cole's hand tightly. Everything in the room starts to rise into the air.
He launches the things that are floating at them. Cole panics for the first time since seeing the man. He tries to hide Viviana behind him to protect her. The lights in the room go dark as Viviana realizes that this might be the last time she sees this man. The holds out her arms over her head to protect herself.
