Naruto: sasori's successor.

chapter 3: return to Konoha. Naruto's first test subject.

Naruto was smart during his next 5 years at the Ninja Academy, he knew people hated him, and he also knew teachers were trying to sabotage him.

Sadly they didn't know that Naruto knew that they were trying to sabotage his education and the sabotage was foiled allowing Naruto to pass his tests.

Naruto took what the 3rd Hokage said about studying hard to become a shinobi and even though he couldn't use genjutsu he was taught to sense them and how to release them as well.

Every time his academy sensei Mizuki handed him a written test he sensed a genjutsu and secretly dispelled it.

He then proceeded to take the tests as usual and would pass with at least a 97% on each test. His only competition was Sasuke Uchiha who he almost tied with for rookie of the year status in everything. Well, almost everything.

Naruto struggled with his shuriken and kunai throwing every time only scoring 7 out of 10 each time they practiced.

On one occasion outside of the academy after dark Naruto wandered the streets with his hands in his pockets and his chakra strings hidden with the puppets of his parents at his sides which scared people and made them curious as well.

One night Naruto noticed a ninja not from the leaf, most likely a cloud shinobi based on the headband around the shoulder, they were carrying a sack that was moving indicating something or someone was inside of it. The cloud shinobi stopped dead in his tracks.

Looking at a person who should be dead.
Two people. Minato Namikaze and Kushina Uzumaki. The yellow flash and red death of the leaf village. Naruto then moved his hands inside his coat pockets in a way that allowed his puppets to move unnoticed by others.

The Minato puppet threw his 3 pronged kunai for his teleportation jutsu at the cloud shinobi and the Kushina puppet activated her Chakra chains catching the moving sack from falling. Although the Naruto present was a shadow clone.

The real Naruto was behind a tree using chakra strings connected to the clone to control the living puppets from a distance. Naruto learned this trick on his own after he stole the reanimation jutsu and successfully combined it with the living corpse puppets jutsu Sasori made.

They were puppets but at the same time, they were alive. They had souls, so they could move freely or on command.

If Orochimaru and Sasori were to see what became of their research, they would be drooling over Naruto's genius.

In the case of Mizuki tricking him into stealing the scroll of seals, Naruto pulled out one of his prototype gas bombs.

He tossed it at Mizuki who thought nothing of it until all his muscles stopped working his entire body fell to the ground unable to move but still fully aware of his environment.

The anbu later showed up with a gas mask under their anbu masks so they didn't inhale the smoke themselves.

The first-ever paralysis gas bomb created by a genin. With Tsunade's help of course. See, when Hiruzen and Naruto got back to the village Hiruzen immediately called back both his students Jiraiya and Tsunade.

Jiraiya was irritated his spy network was placed on hold over some brat and Tsunade's reason for being irritated was that she was practically dragged back by the Anbu for resisting to comply.

Flashback.
Hokage's office.

Tsunade and Jiraiya were not very happy right now. Jiraiya was unable to continue his spying for the village and Tsunade was dragged back by force by the Anbu.
