She could only stand there looking at her friend standing there with flowers, Jisoo smiled brightly holding flowers.
"He got me flowers! He's so romantic!" Jisoo gushes, completely obvious to the other girl standing besides her.
"Yeah." Lisa nods with a tight smile.
"Do you think-"
The girl couldn't bare to hear anymore, she stood there with flowers behind her back. She gripped them tightly before looking away from the girl,
"Lisa?"
"I need to go." Lisa says.
"Why? Oh, you got flowers?" Jisoo peaked over to the girls back, "do you like someone?"
"Yeah." Lisa answered, her teeth grinding against each other. "I'll be back."
"Huh?"
Lisa walked past her with flowers now present in front of her chest, her face flushed with embarrassment and pain as she approaches a random girl.
"Excuse me?" She tapped the girls shoulder.
"Yes?" The worker looked back with a Jentle smile.
"Memorized by the flowers?"
She jumped looking over at one of the maids, who stood there with a garden hose. She had a gentle smile, cat eyes, and-
"No." Lisa said, "I don't like flowers."
"Then why look at them?" The maid walks over, "what did flowers do to you?" She teased.
"I... I never had a good experience with flowers," she admitted, her voice barely above a whisper. "But maybe... maybe it's time for a new beginning."
The maid's gentle smile widened, understanding dawning in her expression. She reached out and gently touched Lisa's arm.
"Sometimes, the most beautiful blossoms emerge from the darkest soil," she said softly. "Perhaps it's not the flowers themselves, but the memories they hold that we need to let go of."
Lisa nodded.
The maid reached out and plucked a delicate flower from the nearby bush.
"Here," the maid said softly, offering the flower to Lisa. "Sometimes, a small gesture of kindness can help ease the burden we carry."
Lisa's eyes widened in surprise as she accepted the flower, its petals soft against her fingertips. A warmth spread through her chest, chasing away the lingering shadows of doubt and pain.
"Thank you," Lisa whispered, her voice thick with emotion. "I... I don't know what to say."
The maid simply smiled, her eyes twinkling with understanding.
"No words are needed," she replied, "Just remember, even in the darkest of times, there is always a glimmer of light waiting to guide us forward."
With a grateful nod, Lisa held the flower in her hands. The same one that has given her pain before.
The maid walks past Lisa causing the girl to turn back quickly and watch,
"Wait!" Lisa called out, "I didn't get your name!"
"Jennie!"
With a soft smile, Lisa repeated the name to herself, committing it to memory like a precious treasure. "Jennie," she whispered, feeling a warmth spread through her chest at the thought of the kind-hearted maid who had offered her solace in the garden. With Jennie's words echoing in her mind, she took a deep breath and looked down at the flower in her hands.
"Thank you, Jennie," Lisa said, her voice filled with gratitude. "For the flower, and for reminding me that there is always room for growth and renewal."
With that, Jennie disappeared into the garden, leaving Lisa standing there. She looked up at the sky and back to the house, a figure peered out the window looking back at her.
Lisa locked eyes with cold ones before holding the flower close to her chest, she smiled softly and turns back to follow where Jennie disappeared.
The same flower that was yellow on the grave.
