Chapter 10

Nico's P.O.V

Me and Shamira talked for a bit as we went to our destination,the school building where the swimming pools are. She told me she had four max-leveled characters in this mmorpg game. She says she leveled it all in one day. Well,I'm not believing that.

Most of what she says are lies to impress us. Besides,it's impossible to max level a character in one day. You have to wait for energy and stuff so yeah. Plus you have to eat and go have bathroom breaks. So,no. The only way she could do that is by hacking--- which btw is not fair.

We had a few more chats and I learned some new horror games and visual novels to play. After a while,we arrived in front of the bulding. It was a short walk,actually. As I opened the door,I felt a strange aura. Could there be a monster in here as we predicted? Well,time to find out,I guess.

I went inside alone and looked down at the shimmering blue water on the pool. It looked....normal,I guess. There were little waves and bubbles. Bubbles were arising....Wait,bubbles?!

In a split second,a huge figure arose from the water. It was a large octopus that reached the ceiling. I readied my sword. This'll be challenging. The octopus made a little noise which alerted Shamira from outside.

"Nico?!? What's happening in there?!"

"No! Don't go in here!"

"What?! Why?! You can't tell me what to do!" Shamira said as she peeked inside. The octopus spotted her and shot her with ink at her body,making her scream. "Uwaah! What the hell is that thing?!"

"Can't you tell? It's an octopus,idiot!"

"I know! What I mean is we're supposed to fight a sea creature? Is this quest that easy?"

Suddenly,the octopus's eyes gleamed red and it shrieked real loud,making the bulding shake a bit. It threw us off balance and we fell. The octopus moved one of it's tentacles and grabbed my right leg. It hoisted me up in the air and swinged me.

"H-hey! Stop,put me down!" I said as I swinged my sword,desperate to break free. Shamira aimed her gun at the creature but it shot her again with ink,this time at the face,making her unable to see.

"Ah,shit! Sorry,Nico but bear with that thing a bit! I need to wash this up!" She said as she walked around,bumping into things as she searched for the pool.

Meanwhile,the octopus was basically harassing me. One of its tentacles went under my shirt and started fiddling around. Another tentacle went in my pants and started rubbing around some parts. This is weird. What is this octopus,a pervert?! Geez,is that even possible?

I got flustered a bit but I had enough. I gripped my sword tightly and I tried to slash off one of the creature's tentacles. It took me awhile but after a few desperate tries while getting tentacled,I managed to slash the tentacle that was around my leg.

The other tentacles that were on me retreated and I fell to the ground. Damn,that hurts. And I feel really slimy aroudn my body right now. The tentacle that I cut off grew back,much to my surprise. How the hell am I supposed to beat a regenerating mons---- oh,forget it. I'll try methods.

With that in mind,I jumped and slid around to avoid the tentacles that were lunging me. I ran around the octopus,trying to find my angle to attack. There. The octopus's back. Well,here goes.
