𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗠𝗢𝗥𝗡𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗦𝗨𝗡 𝗛𝗔𝗗 𝗝𝗨𝗦𝗧 𝗥𝗜𝗦𝗘𝗡 and we continued walking through the forest with the chirping of birds echoing above us. Luke's hand was intertwined with mine, his cool touch contrasting with my warmth, creating a subtle harmony between opposites.

"I think we're getting close to a road. I can hear cars." Clarisse said

"That's a relief. We've been walking in this forest for hours." I replied.

"I believe we're in Chicago now." Luke stated.

"It's going to be quite a journey to reach the city." I noted.

"True, but at least we have some time to figure out a plan." Clarisse said optimistically.

"Did we even have a plan to begin with?" Luke questioned.

"Not really, but now we have the opportunity to come up with one." Clarisse replied.

"My legs are starting to ache." I admitted.

"Jump on my back, I'll carry you." Luke offered.

"There's no need. I'll only end up hurting your back and legs more." I refused.

"Come on, why do you always have to be so stubborn?" Luke teased.

"I am not stubborn." I retorted.

"You definitely are." Luke countered with a grin.

"I'm just sparing you the pain." I reassured.

"Just hop on my back, Kathy." Luke offered.

"Are you sure?" I asked.

"If I wasn't sure, I wouldn't have suggested it." Luke said, with his grin.

"Fine." I relented, climbing onto his back for a piggyback ride.

"Just let me know if you're in pain." I reminded him.

"I don't accept defeat so easily." Luke chuckled.

"By the way, how's your head?" I asked, feeling concerned.

"It's getting better. The dizziness is fading." Luke replied

"And Clarisse, how's your arm?" I turned to her.

"It's healed, but it's a bit sore when I move it." Clarisse replied.

"Do you want some nectar and ambrosia?" I offered.

"No need. Save it for emergencies." Clarisse declined.
