thanks for ruining my birthday ׂׂ

𝗔𝗦 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗠𝗢𝗥𝗡𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗟𝗜𝗚𝗛𝗧 𝗙𝗜𝗟𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗘𝗗 through the curtains, I lay in bed, the soft sounds of whispered voices drifting to my ears. My siblings, apparently oblivious to my wakefulness, were engaged in a clandestine conversation.

"Is she awake?" River's voice, barely above a murmur, floated across the room.

"I don't know," Celest replied in a hushed tone.

"She can get a bit scary when someone wakes her up," Serenity added, her voice tinged with caution.

I couldn't help but smirk at their whispered exchange. Were they seriously gossiping about me while I lay there, just inches away?

"It's her birthday, so I think she won't get grumpy," River ventured, sounding hopeful.

"So no yelling 'happy birthday'?" Serenity teased.

"You're basically asking for a death wish if you wake her up like that," Celest warned, her voice filled with amusement.

At that moment, I decided it was time to make my presence known. With a playful grin, I opened my eyes, causing my siblings to startle in surprise.

"Don't ever do that again, waking like that again," Serenity scolded, though a hint of laughter danced in her eyes.

I couldn't help but chuckle at their reactions, feeling grateful for the familiar banter that always filled our home, even on my birthday morning.

"Oh yeah, happy birthday!" River exclaimed, enveloping me in a tight hug.

"Happy birthday," echoed the rest of my siblings, joining in for a group embrace.

"Thanks, guys," I replied, feeling the warmth of their affection.

"This day is going to be amazing, since everyone is free," Celest remarked with excitement.

"That means everything is going to be big!" River added enthusiastically.

I shook my head, laughing softly. "Oh, that's not necessary. I just want to spend my birthday with the people I care about, like you three."

"Oh, well, the plan has been in motion for weeks, sorry," Celest admitted with a grin, eliciting a chuckle from me.

"Well, where are our other siblings?" I asked, curious about their absence.
