(Just in case I forget to say it later in the chapter, Ivy's bomb doesn't work because Bruce is canceling out the signal.)

Diana was a calm individual. She liked to believe that. She kept her head high and did her best to not let her emotions get the best of her. She was calm when helping Bruce return as Batman and helped him get back into the flow of things. Even during this Alien invasion when Metropolis was overran with the invaders, she did her best to keep a cool head. But her patience was being tested.

"Bruce.....what. Is. That?"

Diana stood over Bruce and stared down at the man. Bruce came back earlier today and made his way to one of the vacant classrooms without saying a word. The Amazon had followed after him and had stopped dead in her tracks upon realizing what Bruce had in his arms. The Batman, the man who struck fear into the hearts of men, was leaning on the floor against a bookshelf. Small vines had appeared in the floor cracks and had curled up on the bookshelf. In the man's arms was a small child that looked anything but human.

"It's Ivy, Diana....." Bruce spoke as he held the small child close to him. A small amount of thin vines had traveled up the hero's legs as if to hug him close. Diana stared in a mix of shock and confusion as Bruce looked over the child in his arms. "......I can barely believe it."

"That's Ivy?" Diana questioned as the young child snuggled up against the armored man's chest. Diana stepped to the side as a vine stretched out from behind Bruce and grabbed a lamp before retracting back and shining the lamp on Ivy. Diana couldn't help but think of how terrible this was. "Bruce.......you shouldn't have brought her here."

"She's a child Diana." Bruce whispered as he wiped away some snot hanging out of Ivy's nose, it was probably some sort of poison instead of real mucus. The sleeping child grunted as she turned around in order to be more comfortable. The back of her cape had a Venus flytrap drawn on it, made by no other than Ivy herself. "But we won't be staying here long, if your concerned about the refugees." Bruce softly whispered as he ran a finger through Ivy's hair. He looked up at Diana and nodded. "We just stopped by so she could get some sunlight. I'll be taking her to the batcave soon."

"Bruce......" Diana sighed, getting Bruce to listened to her when a child was involved was nearly impossible. The Batman had a habit of taking in strays before, Nightwing and Jason being prime examples. She growled at a vine that got to close, baring her teeth at it before it pulled away. She looked back down at the dark knight who rarely showed his gentle nature to anyone.  "Bruce......what if she....?"

"She won't Diana." Bruce interrupted before shifting his legs, the plant vines following after him. Bruce shook his head as he looked down at the sleeping girl's face. "Poison Ivy died saving Gotham.....to not care for this child would be to spit on her sacrifice."

Diana watched as Bruce slowly stood up and turned around with Ivy still in his arms. The plants started to form a small bed where he was sitting and allowed Batman to place her on them. Although she was hesitant about the child, Diana couldn't help but notice how well Bruce handled her. He never really cared for a child that young before. Greyson was fifteen when Bruce found him and Jason was at least thirteen. Diana watched as Bruce walked past her and motioned her to follow before they reached the teacher's desk.

"Harley and the others are in trouble Diana." Batman told her as he brought up a hologram, looking through the lens of security footage. Harley and the convicts were all standing outside the Hall of Justice, hesitant on going inside to report their failure. "Each one of them have bombs in their heads. If they even do much as disobey an order from Waller....they die."
