Asher's POV:

We kissed. She told me she loved me. I can't even fathom the fact that she said that. A girl like her said that to a guy like me. How?! But there's one thing that's been on my mind. Where is she gonna stay? She told me about the plan of how to move her stuff out, but where will she go with it? I know being a barista for 6 months isn't enough money to buy another apartment or a small house to rent. I'll take her in if she wants but I won't flat out offer it to her. I don't want it to seem like I want to move in together after a first kiss. I just want her to be happy.
She then did her hair in a messy bun right on top of her head and I gave her one of my band shirts. She looked so good. I grabbed a bandana and I put it in my pocket and told her that we were gonna go on a drive around on the main streets. We got to the general area of where I wanted to take her. I grabbed the bandana from my pocket and handed it to her.
"Do me a favor and put this in over your eyes."
"Aw hell no are you serious? You're gonna take me to some weird ass alleyway or something and there will be hillbillies throwing fart bombs at me. You're pretty unpredictable."
"I would never! You're gonna like this surprise I hope. Just please put it on babe."
I threw it onto her lap. She tried to tie it but she got her hair caught so I had to help her at a red light. We finally got it figured out and I brought her to the mall and I handed her my debit card.
"Do you know what you're holding," I asked with a large smile plastered on my face.
"It feels like a card or something. Don't tell me it's your debit card!"
"Take your blindfold off"
She ripped it off her head and almost fell to the ground with shock. I assume Minnesota doesn't exactly have designer brands like they do here but I think it was something she'll never forget.
"I can't let you do this for me"
"I insist. Go get yourself something nice. Or anything else you want. All I want is for you to be happy"
She pulled me aside, away from the people making their way around the mall. She whispered to me, "I appreciate this a lot but I want to let you know something. I am not spending all of this time with you because you have money. I will never take advantage of you for your money or anything else. And material objects do not matter to me at all. I just enjoy surrounding myself with the people I like to be around. I'm not saying that I'm mad at you for taking me here. I just want you to know that you can't buy my love. Hell, you already have it for free. Again, I'm not mad but I wanted to make that clear."
"I completely understand. I just thought that you know, you're a new woman now. You don't have a jackass boyfriend anymore so I thought maybe you wanted to get something you couldn't get before. I can help you too if you want. I just want you to feel comfortable in your own skin."
She blushed so fucking hard that I felt the radiation come out of her face. We went to Gucci, Louis Vuitton, and a couple other luxury stores. She bought one thing from each and they were the cheapest things. She looked at me with guilt every time I swiped my card. I don't even know what she got but I could tell she felt bad about spending my money.
"Hey I have a question for you," she said in a nervous tone.
"Yeah what's up?"
"So you know how I don't have a place to stay?"
"Yeah, what about it?"
"Nevermind. I can't ask you. You've done so much for me already.
"I know you were gonna ask if you can move in and I already had an answer for you. You can move in if you would like."
Her jaw dropped to the floor of my car.
"Oh my goodness, thank you so much. I will pay for my own groceries and food. I'll help pay the utility bi-" I cut her off with a kiss.
"How does it feel to get the taste of your own medicine?"
She smiled wide.
"Best medicine I've ever had."
